My name is Melissa Ray, LCSW. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I love helping others using a gentle and non-judgemental approach. I am clinically trained to treat trauma in children. I also treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy). With parental participation, I enjoy working with kids as young as 2. I work with kids and adults of any age.

My name is Joe Stevenson and I am a licensed Professional Counselor and Behavioral Specialist. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University and my Master’s degree in Psychology Counseling from Chatham University, in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a Counselor in the Pittsburgh area for many years in Community Mental Health working with individuals, youth, and families. I have extensive experience and training with individuals with Asperger's and other developmental issues.

Mindful Tides Therapy was formed to provide an atmosphere for our clients to individualize their goals. We recognized the decrease in quality client care through the “big box” therapy practices that are owned by those who are not clinicians themselves, and it was important for us to provide a safe space for clients to have input into their treatment plans. Our goal is to aid our clients in finding a secure, collaborative, compassionate, and ethical therapy environment. It is a priority for us to provide our team of therapists with the training and work/life balance they need to practice comfortably.
