I am also dedicated to the support and advocacy of the LGBTQ+ Community.
Mental Health is health. You don't have to be afraid to reach out for help or continue to live your life on mute. It is okay to speak up and do what you need to in order to feel better, just as you would for a physical ailment! My office is a judgement free zone and I'm here to help you meet your goals when you're ready! I am a clinician with The Better Institute who works with individuals and with couples. I have 8 years of experience working with those who struggle with addiction whether that be drugs, alcohol, or gambling.

I am a member of the LGBTQ community and well-versed in poly dynamics.
I can help you navigate through change: job loss, grief, family estrangement, divorce/breakup, gender exploration, working on anxious attachment or people-pleasing. Together, we can work to integrate trauma, depression, anxiety and other symptoms into a life that feels worthwhile, however you define that. There's definitely more than one path for healing, and what can look like stability to some can be uncomfortably stifling to others. I will utilize a combination of narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT/CBT skills (very optional!), feminist therapy and insight-oriented therapy to help you find your way forward.

My clients come to session ready to show up for themselves. They are open to learn and grow into their authentic selves. The majority of my clients have experienced traumatic events and come to me with feelings of anxiety/depression. Many are ready to learn to navigate stress, life transitions, and struggles within their relationships with others and themselves. I work within the LGBTQIA+ community and provide an open and inclusive space to help ensure feelings of acceptance, safety, and affirmation. As a member of the community I know the importance of this safe space.

Additionally, I am particularly passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
Would you like to feel more grounded and confident in your life? Perhaps you're feeling trapped by your thoughts and you're looking to gain skills to interrupt unhelpful thinking spirals? Or possibly you're feeling disconnected from your sense of self and would like a safe place to explore what makes you you? There are all sorts of reasons why you might be needing support right now and therapy can be a wonderful tool to help you build self compassion, manage overwhelming feelings, and build upon your existing strengths to accomplish your goals.

I'm a LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming therapist.
Accepting new clients! Most days, you feel like you don't have anyone on your side, and often struggle with trust. In order to be able to dive into your list of "things" and really open up, finally, you know you'll need to feel truly accepted and respected. You are starting to drown in the anxiety, stress, conflict, and depression that is swirling around you, and it's just... time. You're mostly open to the idea of therapy, but you need a balance of processing AND skills that you can apply in your day-to-day life. Sometimes, even thinking about the process of looking for a therapist is enough to exhaust you and then paralyze you.

I'm a LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming therapist.
Accepting new clients! You're exhausted from not feeling worthy of the space you occupy. You're tired of holding everything in, and terrified to be your authentic self. You're a WHOLE person... not a symptom that needs to be cured. You've never been able to truly process all of the big emotions and 'stuff' you carry around because they have either been 'too much' or minimized. Or, shame has held you back. But it's becoming too heavy to carry on your own. With a little work and support, it IS possible to strip them of their power.

When my oldest kiddo was in high school, they came out to me as being transgender.
My ideal client is looking to become authentically themself. They would be motivated to change and curious about what has brought them to where they are. They want to process their trauma so that it is no longer upsetting but is simply part of their story. I don't want to specify too much here, as I don't want anyone to feel excluded. If you are curious and want help, I am here for you!

As I am part of the community, I greatly enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ population.
When you think about how far you have come from your past, you are amazed. The steps that you have taken to get to where you are today did not seem possible three years ago. Even though your situation has completely changed and life is incredible, it still doesn’t feel that way. You feel guilty about what has been left behind. Extreme emotions come up from smells, sights, or statements, and you can’t control it. Nightmares cause you fear when you think about sleeping. You are sick of living this way and want to find some sort of peace but don’t know how or where to start.

I believe everyone deserves to live a life of authenticity, joy, and personal fulfillment. I am LGBTQ+-affirming, sex-positive, and strengths-focused. My therapeutic style is eclectic, and heavily influenced by attachment theory and contemporary psychodynamic theories, including narrative therapy and parts work. Together, we will explore how your identity, your relationships, the stories you tell yourself, and the stories you have been told about yourself interact with social and historical context to create the life you are living.
