I view therapy like a road trip: some parts are fun, some are not, but in the end you get to where you need to go. You are the driver and have the control but we are on the journey together. I will be there, in the passenger seat, to help reroute if we get detoured... and try to help us avoid the potholes! It’s your hard work, though, that gets us to the destination. I have found that creating a genuine connection makes all the difference in where we can go together in treatment, so let’s get this trip started!

I love my work! I have been a psychotherapist, coach and workshop leader in Philadelphia for 30 years. I have treated clients from all walks of life with a wide range of mental health challenges. I have been informed and inspired by each. My life - professional and beyond has been enriched as I walk with a client on the journey to confidence and well being. I use many techniques, but my focus is on building a strong and confident sense of self. I believe that this is the best foundation for coping with emotional stress, resolving problems and fulfilling goals. My clients' success supports my own sense of self. Its a win win!

My ideal client is someone who comes to therapy in a time of need. They might be experiencing anxiety due to life changes and transitions or they might be experiencing symptoms of anxiety for the first time and be concerned as to where the anxiety came from. The client might be processing loss or grief from a loved one or past friendships and or relationships. My ideal client will have needs such as needing to identify coping skills to get through life stressors, assistance with reaching goals. As a therapist I would be able to provide the client with a objective perspective to bounce their ideas and situations off of.

In my practice, I see people with a variety of concerns about their relationships, careers, and other aspects of their lives. Whether you are experiencing troubling symptoms like depression or anxiety, feeling dissatisfied or held back, or having difficulty coming to terms with loss or other stressful life events, my goal would be to help you understand yourself better, feel more content, and live your life more fully. My approach is kind, thoughtful, and collaborative. I typically start by listening to your story, to get to know you and what led you to seek treatment.

My focus of interest is to become a therapeutic container to support the exploration of the mind-body connection within children and teens. I believe that the body carries valuable information about ourselves and our minds are actively trying to interpret it. I specialize in children who seek to improve their body awareness which provides coping skills for self-regulation, positive self-talk and overall physical/mental wellness. I have experience working with children with autism, adopted families, neurodivergent movers and people simply want a better connection with their bodies

Has everything gone to shit? Are you tired of the stereotypical therapy session where you talk, they take notes & you leave feeling like you just ripped open your soul for a stranger who may or may not think you’re a total wackjob? I have and that’s why I gathered a group of cool ass therapists to help you work through your shit.

Reaching out is the 1st step toward feeling relief and achieving personal, family or professional goals. Therapy offers private time with support to take a fresh look at your situation and evaluate options. I bring to the room more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, as well as designing and directing treatment programs, training therapists, and publishing in the field. People I work with tell me I am easy to talk to, warm and non-judgmental. They appreciate my ability to 'keep it real,' helping develop practical solutions in 3 - 12 sessions, or in longer-term therapy.
