I provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming. My primary focus is working with autistic and other neurodivergent children (age 3 and up), teens, and young adults as they navigate a world that can be confusing and complex. I also work with individuals with anxiety, depression, sensory processing differences, executive functioning challenges, and divergent ways of communicating and socializing. In particular, I have significant experience supporting teens and young adults as they transition to adulthood, helping them navigate this daunting but exciting time in their lives.

I believe the connection between therapist and client can model how to have healthy relationships with friends, family, and co-workers.
My name is Hilary Chentow and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I live outside Philadelphia but have roots in Seattle. I am licensed in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. I am seeking clients who are ready to do the work to make changes in their lives. An ideal client is deeply curious and a bit nerdy. I have a special affinity for the LGBTQIA+ community. But feel most comfortable with clients who may be living with anxiety, depression, trauma history, and stress and want to explore tools to improve symptoms to find joy and connection.

I specialize in supporting individuals facing profound loss, family estrangement, and life transitions.
Life can shift in ways you never expected, leaving you feeling lost, disconnected, and unsure of how to move forward. Grief doesn’t always look the way people think—it can come from losing a loved one, dealing with illness or infertility, or even walking away from family due to unresolved trauma. These life transitions can shake your sense of self, safety, and belonging. When everything feels upended and you’re not sure where to turn, it’s normal to struggle. Therapy is a space where we can honor your grief and help you rebuild a sense of stability and purpose.

If you’re stuck in self-destructive patterns with family, unable to move on from difficult experiences in your past, or paralyzed by anxiety, I can help. Whether you’re looking to work through trauma, set boundaries with your relatives, change dynamics with a romantic partner, or reconnect with what gives you pleasure, I can guide you in taking that first step. As a teen coping with my parents’ messy divorce, I turned to self-harm while also journeying through my own sexual self-discovery. Therapy and safe relationships helped me feel better by speaking about my pain rather than keeping it inside or taking it out on myself.

Hi there! I’m sam, a student therapist currently working toward my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a clinician, I look forward to holding space and providing support for individuals, couples, and families as they bravely navigate their journey.  I am passionate about creating spaces where people can come together, feel heard, and use laughter and connection to heal, and I strive to bring this value in my work as a clinician.  It is important to me to use an intersectional framework and develop a therapeutic relationship in which each client feels heard and empowered to make choices about their journey.

If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling unmotivated, burnout, challenges with family, codependency/boundary issues, grief, and/or relationship concerns - I can help you navigate these feelings and offer a path forward. These feelings are a natural, unavoidable and sometimes overwhelming part of life. Our day to day lives are filled with ups and downs and we should connect to talk about them. My role is to foster a safe and warm environment and to encourage an open dialogue. During therapy, any thought, feeling and behavior can be discussed, those ups and downs will feel less overwhelming and much more manageable.
