With having over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in structural cognitive reality therapy as a certified trauma therapist.
Welcome, welcome, WELCOME! All my life I have believed that a person needs to be the change they want to see in the world. Thus my practice is one where people are free to learn, to grow, to express themselves freely and without judgement about whatever ails them. This could be daily life struggles of riding public transportation, or more philosophical questions about the meaning of life, and everything in between. All it takes to start is the willingness to have a conversation. I take a trauma focused, client first approach which makes getting that conversation started even easier!

My education in complex trauma allows me to pass on knowledge about how our brains and bodies work so clients can feel seen and become more aware of what is happening in each moment.
Hi! I'm a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have been practicing for 4 years. I offer support to teens and adults in building awareness around how experiences have shaped them and how to unlearn some of the habits that are no longer serving them. I use art therapy and mindfulness to support clients in exploring their authentic selves and building resilience. I help clients work towards finding peace in the present moment and confidence in being true to themselves.

And hey, trauma looks different for everyone.
Stuck in a therapy rut? Feeling like you're going in circles, rehashing the same stuff week after week? You're not alone. Let's ditch the damn cycle and dig deep into what's really holding you back. We'll uncover the shit that's causing your reactions and empower you to take control. I'm not here for surface-level therapy. I want to dive deep with you, marinate in the tough stuff, and unearth the power you've always had to make changes in your life. I’ll support you every step of the way, and yes, I'll lovingly call you on your shit when you need it. Think of me as your therapist co-pilot, ready to navigate this journey together.

We all experience difficulties, and at times it can be tough to sort through our thoughts and feelings alone. I believe that we all have patterns of reactions that arise in our thoughts and behaviors. Some of these patterns may be healthy and some unhealthy. I like to think of the therapeutic environment as a safe place to sort through what makes us, “us”. Within this environment we hope to become more aware of our patterns and decision making. With increased awareness we can make the decisions on what continues to work for us and what no longer serves us well.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
