My strengths lie in helping individuals identify those intrusive and often irrational thoughts that interfere with their ability to live a fulfilling life. Often this leads to anxiety and a feeling of being "stuck" and of not getting anywhere. We too often learn to live with the issues that "plague" us. I have found that most people simply want peace, love and happiness in their lives, with a bit of joy from time to time.

I provide coaching services to teens, young adults, and their families, struggling with ADHD and executive function deficits. Challenges include, but are not limited to organization, time-management, planning, study skills, and social skills. During the coaching process, we pinpoint both short-term and long-term goals, and uncover underlying issues that are getting in the way. Together, we work on developing tools, skills and strategies for clients to reach their goals and lead a more fulfilling life.

My specialty is working with people who sincerely want to understand themselves better and what they need to work on in their life.
I have been working in mental health and substance abuse for over 40 years. I can help those who want a well seasoned professional who can help you identify obstacles in your life and how best to overcome them. I still have people stay in touch with me from 25 years ago and let me know their progress. Trauma, stress, self medication, anxiety and depression are all topics i can assist with. Honestly, I can assess your situation usually in the first session or 2 and give you a pretty good idea of what direction therapy will go and where we would start.

Everyone's journey in life is different, but invariably along the way we encounter some bumps in the road, or sometimes it seems they are more like mountains. Whatever has led you to seek help today, know that you are making a good decision by taking the first step toward finding a solution. My approach to therapy is individualized, with an emphasis on each person's unique needs and strengths. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the crucial elements to your success. It is through this collaboration that we can find solutions and restore balance to your life.

I am a "career psychologist" who assists individuals from age 16-75 with career planning, managing one’s career, overcoming barriers to success at work, conducting a successful job search and executive coaching.
“Hang on to your hat. Hang on to your hope. And wind the clock, for tomorrow is another day.”– E.B. White It's time to get out of survival mode-hanging onto a job or career that is deeply unfulfilling or perhaps having no clear direction at all. You dread Monday mornings and believe that something belter must be out there. Maybe in a company with greater flexibility, a less toxic culture or better opportunities for advancement. Or maybe you want to explore other career paths that could offer greater satisfaction. Yet, how to get from here to there may feel completely overwhelming. You just know you feel stuck.

Through a cognitive-behavioral approach, I teach coping skills to better navigate the at times overwhelming emotions associated with everyday life transitions.
I realize that change can be difficult and stressful. Asking for help is hard and that is why I do everything within my power to create a safe, productive, and encouraging environment in therapy. Together, we will work collaboratively to help you live a richer and more meaningful life. If approached through a lens of curiosity the process can be fun and enjoyable. In my experience, I have supported people with a variety of stressors including feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, loneliness, procrastination, peer conflict, social media distress and school challenges.

I specialize in fostering growth and healing in anxiety, depression, adjusting to life's changes, motherhood, parenting, school-based concerns, relational struggles, patterns of unhealthy behavior, and more.
Therapy is unique. Sometimes we need support when we go through a specific event and sometimes we just need an extra support system to guide us through life and everything it brings. Everyone deserves the time and the space. My office is that space where you can take care of yourself, learn strategies to help improve your quality of life, find clarity around life choices, and gain a connection that helps strengthen your peace of mind.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
