I offer comprehensive psychological assessments and individual therapy aimed at helping you and your family make decisions related to treatment, education, and the future. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist, and hold a law degree with varied experiences in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presenting problems, including providing assessments related to treatment needs, forensic matters, education accommodations, and pre-employment testing. I have wide ranging experiences working on issues related to trauma, anger management, gender identity, and forensic matters.

After a successful career in the business world, I took the skills of social connection and project management and returned to school for my Master's to integrate my life's experiences with a behavioral health education. I have gained clinical experience working with adults, couples and teens from diverse backgrounds in various settings. My practice philosophy is to walk alongside my clients in a relaxed setting and go through this journey of self-discovery together. You can change what's possible.

I am PA/NJ licensed clinical social worker with over 20 yrs experience. I received my BA in Psychology in 1994 and my MSW in 1997. Since then, I have worked in various settings including the Behavioral Health System of Philadelphia, numerous behavioral health facilities which include psychiatric units, detox and rehabs, college counseling settings and in assisted living/nursing facilities with older adults. In 2013, I started an in person private practice and then made the jump to telehealth during the pandemic. I find that telehealth is much more accessible and convenient for clients as we are still able to do amazing work!

Welcome and thank you for your interest in my practice. For the past 25 + years, my work has been dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families who are struggling and wish to make positive changes in their lives. Many of the people I see are experiencing stress associated with personal, career, academic, or family transitions. Others are trying to navigate through anxiety, depression, loneliness, or conflicts in relationships. My goal is to listen carefully and to provide valuable feedback and support so that clients may rediscover their strength and find solutions to life's often complex challenges.

I provide counseling services to children and adults with the goal of helping people work through problems, reduce distress, and find satisfying resolutions. My counseling style is insight oriented, collaborative and supportive, and aims towards helping a person recognize and mobilize their strengths, reduce symptoms and move forward with life.

In my practice, I support my clients' emotional growth in a safe and nurturing environment through an eclectic, solution-focused approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, evaluating healthy lifestyle choices, and awareness of the mind-body connection. Most importantly, I recognize the importance of positive therapeutic alliance and evidence-based practices in support of my clients' unique personal and interpersonal growth. I have worked in the field of mental health for 15+ years. My Master's is from Gwynedd-Mercy University and I am completing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Arcadia University.

Melissa provides individual therapy with the goal of assisting her clients in making beneficial and gainful improvements in their lives. With an unbiased, empathetic, and genuine approach, Melissa will work with clients to identify and achieve their desired therapeutic goals starting from the first session. She primarily utilizes components of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and person-centered therapy, with an emphasis on building upon an individual's strengths.

Susan Kuczura, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who has been working with children, adolescents and families in the Doylestown, New Hope and Bucks County for more than 20 years. A graduate of Temple University and Chestnut Hill College, she enjoys working with children and young adults. Susan served as the Clinical Director of a BHRS agency servicing Philadelphia. She collaborated with teachers, parents and counselors concerning behaviors and classroom interventions. Dr. Kuczura works with people with anxiety, behavior problems, ADHD, Asperger's and Autism, OCD, family issues, depression and bereavement.

According to the National Center for PTSD, 6 out of every 10 men and 5 out of every 10 women will experience at least one trauma in their lives. Traumatic experiences can leave individuals feelings scared, overwhelmed and ashamed. Many do not seek help. We as individuals are hard wired to bounce back from bad stuff in our path. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience treating adults and seniors suffering from trauma, the pain of loss and grief, low self-esteem, and challenging life transitions. In addition to my years in private practice, I worked at Jefferson Hospital in geriatrics; served as Clinical Director at Voyage House working with at-risk youth and members of the LQBTQ+ community; and as a Disability Specialist at Delaware Technical Community College, I was honored with the Governor's Award for my "Service to Individuals with Disabilities".

My practice focuses on clients' individual concerns and on couple and family relationships as well. In addition to my training and experience as a marriage and family therapist, I have extensive experience treating adolescents, young adults and adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. An additional area of my experience includes helping clients resolve the effects of physical, emotional or sexual trauma. I use a best practices model while incorporating each person's unique individual and relational strengths, sources of resilience and support.

I currently have availability for testing and evaluations! I specialize in psychological assessment and testing, for children, adolescents, and adults, including: Psychoeducational testing (to determine IQ and potential learning disabilities), testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and executive function testing, neuropsychological testing, personality testing, projective testing, behavioral assessments, adoption evaluations, testing for mood disorders, testing to determine readiness for bariatric surgery, and testing to determine readiness for a spine stimulator. I also provide therapy for individuals ages 4-26 years old.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a therapist growing up with an emotionally immature mother who struggled with addiction. I learned to distinguish between her issues and my own, but despite this awareness, I couldn't escape internalizing her insecurities. In my early teens, I went to my first therapist for depression. I will always remember the jar of cheerios on his desk labeled “Bagel Seeds!” Therapy helped me navigate various situations such as coming out and the sudden loss of my father. I deeply believe in the power of therapy to change lives.
