I offer individual, family and couples therapy as well as parent/relationship coaching, trauma support groups, and parent development courses.
Evidence-Based Therapy with a Love-Based Approach. As a clinical psychologist devoted to practicing therapy, I value the individual strengths, perspectives and histories of each person. I believe that healing and growth occur within the context of a supportive and accepting relationship. Thus, I am highly attentive to our therapeutic relationship and more importantly, to the relationships that already exist in your life. Our work is tailored to your specific needs, strengths and values. My approach to therapy is relational, parts-based, trauma-informed and love-based.

While I use a number of different experiential, relational and trauma-informed approaches tailored to individual context and need, I have spent over 10 years and 5000 hours of focused training and clinical supervision in the areas of Structural Family Therapy and Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy.
I am glad you found me. You are not alone, nor do not have to journey through this next chapter alone. Life can be filled with seasons of suffering, pain and change that too often result in anxiety, depression, trauma, disconnection and isolation. All of us can face these seasons in life that are highly difficult, but within these experiences it is possible to find deep resilience, healing and growth. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families create a path forward towards the life and relationships that you envision with yourself, your partner or your family. I would love to join you in this.

I am a big promoter of family involvement and believe it is necessary for positive change.
My specializations are working with adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. Common struggles I work with are Mood Disorders/Depression/Anxiety/ADHD, etc. I am also strong in helping students having school challenges, whether they are mental health or academic performance-related and pull from my previous experience as a Teacher of 8 years. Another area that I have a multitude of experience with is helping individuals cope with the difficulties that are certain to accompany a Traumatic Brain injury.

As a trained marriage and family therapist, Jenny's expertise is working with individuals, couples and families navigate through various issues, past and present.
Connections are important, especially when it comes to your therapist. Whether this is your first time working with a therapist or you've been trying to find a therapist you connect with, you're already half way there! Sometimes talking to friends or family members just isn't enough, especially if the closest people in your life are the hardest to get along with/primary cause of your stress. Or perhaps you're not sure why you're stressed, anxious, depressed, having communication difficulties and need someone to help you untangle some things. What's for certain, is that unless you try something new, things will stay the same.

Are you feeling anxious or lost, struggling with a sense of disconnection from your beliefs or your life's direction? If you grew up in a high-control religion and are now questioning or distancing yourself from those teachings, you're not alone. This transition can bring up challenging emotions, strained family relationships, and a sense of uncertainty about who you are and what you want. I specialize in supporting adults who have left high-control religious environments. My focus is on helping you process trauma, rebuild your sense of self, and find greater peace and confidence in your new path.

Professional training and family members with ADHD/ADD have taught me how assess (adding the new Quotient ADHD System) and treat ADHD/ADD.
No matter whether your problem is anxiety, depression, work, money or relationship stress, I can work with you to resolve these issues. I'm also trained and experienced to work with children and adolescents as well as adults who struggle with self-esteem issues, ADHD/ADD and relationship issues. I can help with short-term issues, like work stress or problems with a child, and longer term troubles, like addictions, money issues or problematic relationships with parents, sibllings or partners. Empathic listening (putting myself in your shoes) and responding accurately to your concerns builds a working connection that creates the context for change.

I am trained in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), evidence-based practices like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and a wide variety of other methods.
For me, to live is to feel loved and connected. From my perspective, almost every mental health ailment is born from that feeling being fractured or broken. As a physical break of the bone requires care in order to heal, so too do we deserve support in emotional healing. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), having received my Masters degree in Community and Trauma Counseling through Jefferson University, I diagnose and treat the people I work with through a social context and strength-based approach. Individuals, couples and families are all welcome here.
