As a dual licensed professional, I am laser focused on assisting individuals challenged by drug and alcohol abuse and mental health concerns to reach their full potential and become productive members of our community. I have a strong interest in furthering the personal and professional development of others. In addition to having a LPC (NJ, PA, CT) and a LCADC (NJ), I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) who can assist Licensed Associate Counselors with reaching their goal of becoming independent Licensed Professional Counselors. My ideal client would be an adolescent or adult prepared for healing, changing and goal setting, but wants to laugh too. My clinical special interests include: Anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. I especially enjoy working with people who received a diagnosis of neurodiversity later in life. (Please be aware I do not do couples therapy or work with grief or eating disorders).

I believe in a strength based, client centered approach. Reaching out for help and support can be difficult. I help to establish a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, providing a safe space to be open and honest in therapy. Self-awareness and self-care are vital to an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical health. My goal is to foster an individual’s positive growth throughout the therapy process. Cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing techniques and solution focused therapy interventions are utilized throughout therapy. Faith-based therapy is provided for anyone who desires this approach.

I believe that the most effective therapy to help you see the changes you want to see begins with the relationship between the therapist and the client. My approach is unique to every client and my focus is on you as a person. I have a very eclectic style that is very much trauma-informed, and I am a fully trained EMDR therapist.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, families, and adults (preschool-age 80+). I am fortunate to have helped individuals over the past 20+ years as they strive to overcome life's challenges and access life's joys. While a variety of therapy techniques that I am trained in can be of value, clients and I select the ones that they find to be most helpful to them personally. I primarily see clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, divorce, school/work and family problems, ADHD, Autism, childhood issues, and processing past traumatic or stressful life events.
