I help people deal with behavior problems and relationship issues in the workplace, school, or community, including depression, anxiety, stress, substance abuse, obsessions and compulsions, grief and loss, and an inability to find meaning or purpose in life. I am also available for telecounseling sessions.

As a psychotherapist with over 20 yrs of private practice experience, I draw upon a blend of cognitive, somatic and integrative therapies to help women assess and address their mental wellness goals. Alexys Grim is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been working in the human services field since 2010. She has a variety of experience working with children, families and couples, including a background in domestic violence and substance abuse. Alexys uses a client focused approach in her sessions and strives for full engagement of clients in building a strength based treatment plan. For younger clients, play and crafts are incorporated into sessions while addressing therapeutic topics.

With over 20 years experience, Mrs. Weisner uses a cognitive behavioral and family systems approach to help her clients achieve their desired goals. She has a special interest in working with depression, anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD and Geriatric issues. In addition, Mrs. Weisner has many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families to resolve problems and enhance individual and family functioning.

“Why Now”? and “What has happened”? are the ways my first session begins with a new patient. This patient is ready to begin their story. A favorite story I often reference in my work, filled with metaphors and twists and turns, is The Wizard of Oz. At the end of the story Dorothy discovers that she has always had the power to return home to Kansas. However, the power was hidden from her and she did not know how to access or utilize it. I am not the helpful Glinda, but I do collaboratively assist my patients to define and achieve their goals by optimizing their hidden strengths and skills.
