Nice to meet you! I’ve worked in the mental health field for the last 13 years in various settings. What I enjoy most about what I do is experiencing “breakthroughs” with clients, when everything just starts to click. I am dedicated to my clients and the work we do together. I work with children as young as 2 years old through the well seasoned adult years. Trauma informed care is offered to every client regardless of their age. Every individual process traumatic events differently and are entitled to treatment and support regardless of their age. I received training in ABA and have worked with children with disabilities since 2010. Sibling detachment is a program in which I work with siblings that have detached, or never attached to one another. The focus of this program is to facilitate and support of a healthy bond.

I am pleased to offer both in-office and web-based therapy services in Maine and web-based services in Pennsylvania. I am committed to applying multiple levels and approaches of intervention to the resolution of problems determined by me and my client. The goal is to increase emotional stability and daily functioning progressively step by step on a broad based foundation of individualized treatment planning with concrete measurable and attainable goals. Relationships can be hard. Communication can be challenging. Feeling anxious, uncertain, directionless, or out-of-control can feel overwhelming and at times debilitating. It is so easy to become stuck in a cycle of frustration or hopelessness which creates thought loops fixated on these feelings. It can feel impossible to see what lies beyond the immediate struggles we can’t seem to work through. While most of us feel the need to address these struggles, so few of us have the time or energy to “fix” these stuck points and successfully move past them. That’s where I step in to help.

Hello! I am Chris Weidler. My counseling practice is founded on three pillars: Christian faith - clinical counseling skills - libertarian philosophy. My goal is to help you experience the abundant life that Jesus promises, but that often feels elusive. I believe that experiencing God's unconditional love, in an environment free from political and social coercion, combined with some discoveries from the field of psychology is a recipe for healing and flourishing. I enjoy working with individuals (over the age of 18) and couples throughout Pennsylvania who are seeking a Christian therapist who holds no judgement.
