I focus on relationships and uncovering patterns of behavior, most importantly the relationship to self. I believe a core issue for many is a lack of genuine connection to others, which often leads to feelings of anxiety, loneliness, emptiness, and depression. Uncovering patterns of avoidance, poor communication, feelings of unworthiness, lack of trust, fear of vulnerability is the beginning of healing. Finding and challenging self-limiting beliefs and behaviors is key to making lasting change, engaging more fully in life, and creating healthy relationships.

I help children and adults understand and heal from trauma and anxiety. Trauma can be complex, painful and difficult to navigate alone. It may often feel like things will always be the way they are now. In the counseling process, we will work together to understand trauma, its effects, and what we can do to make changes that work for you and your family. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with issues such as ADHD, ODD, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, behavioral concerns and those adjudicated delinquent. I have 16 years of experience providing outpatient treatment for individuals of all ages. I specialize in a variety of issues including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, PTSD, LGBTQ+, sexual disorders, depression, anxiety and personality disorders. I have worked previously as a counselor at Safe Harbor Behavioral Health. Previous to Safe Harbor, I worked for Family Services in the Community Abuse Response Team where I counseled both adult and child survivors of sexual abuse.
