Through consistent patience and exploration, new pathways are formed in our minds as we find ourselves viewing the past, present, and future in new ways. I would love to join you in your process. If you want to share your story and your goals, I can hold space for you; help you learn about yourself, your patterns, and your scripts; examine your choices with you to determine how they help and hurt you based on your values; and utilize EMDR therapy to address trauma and other distressing experiences.

Therapy is a great opportunity for exploration of oneself, relationships, family, and in general navigating life. In this process, one can learn about their patterns, strengths, and areas of growth. My goal as a couples, family, and individual therapist, is to create a safe environment where I can walk along side you as you work toward reaching your goals. I believe that therapy is a collaboration to not only work through struggles and build skills, but to also celebrate the strengths and victories along the way. Together we can gain clarity and develop skills that encourage healthy patterns and fulfilling relationships.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I care deeply about helping my clients reach their goals by identifying strengths, discovering possibilities, and finding balance in the troublesome areas of their lives. If you are hoping to rediscover joy, overcome anxiety, or work through a relationship that feels really hard, I can help. My years of experience have shown me first hand that many of us are in desperate need of a safe space to feel seen, heard, and understood. I utilize a trauma informed approach, including EMDR and parts work. I do not believe that one therapy approach is the best for everyone. We will work together to navigate your unique therapy journey, identifying resources that you already have within you and learning new tools along the way.

I believe we are most content with ourselves and others when we live in authentic relationship to our true self and can be genuinely known; so relationship is the backbone of my therapeutic work. Being vulnerable in relationships is a gift; but can also be fraught with difficulties and setbacks. I believe people have immeasurable potential for self-actualization and healthy relationships. Many of us need a safe environment, empathy, and validation to explore our potentials and move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. I seek to listen to and collaborate with clients through integrative modalities and a systemic perspective.

I enjoy helping clients that have experienced childhood hurts and are now experiencing difficulty in their adult relationships. I use a combination of therapy interventions, including EMDR trauma therapy and parts work to help clients heal and grow into their most vibrant, calm, and whole version of themself. Anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and reactiveness can all come from unresolved trauma that is stuck in our body and brain. If we don’t address and treat it, it continuously shows up in our present day relationships. You deserve to experience the peace that comes from healing.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
