I work exclusively with women on an individual basis, to address issues ranging from depression/anxiety to body acceptance. I am a certified Intuitive Eating counselor, as well as a Duke-trained Integrative Health Coach. I work with women to help with life transitions, assisting them with discovering themselves again, whether it is through learning to trust themselves around food, taking the time they don’t think that they have, or helping them to tune into what is behind their self-sabotaging behaviors. Traumatic life events or mental health issues can sometimes hold us back, and I help clients to move forward on their terms.

You've tried the diets. You've read the self-help books. You've scoured TikTok and Instagram for answers. But, you just haven't been able to find your way out of dieting cycles, binge eating and harsh self-talk that leaves you feeling defeated and like you'll never feel normal around food or your body. I want you to know that healing is possible. That you can relearn how to trust your body and that you can heal from years of shame, blame, trauma and disconnection from yourself.

Do you feel like your emotions get the best of you? Do you wonder why things get under your skin and pull you into a spiral, even if part of you knows it's not rational? Do you live your life trying to avoid anxiety or sadness? Does self-criticism or feelings of worthlessness keep you stuck feeling like you're not who you'd like to be? Maybe you want to finally stop trying to run from your feelings and want to learn how to express them. Maybe your comfort zone has become stifling and you're ready to be break free.

Now I combine my clinical training, my personal experience, and my professional experience, to help my clients through fertility diagnosis/treatment, pregnancy after infertility, when to stop treatment, and adjusting to childfree life.
Fertility issues can be so lonely, whether it's struggling to conceive, having miscarriages, or having to terminate for medical reasons. Everyone around you seems to get (and stay!) pregnant whenever they want, and if one more person tells you to "just relax and it will happen" you may lose it. Thinking about how to get pregnant takes over everything, your entire identity, and you don't even feel like yourself anymore. Focusing at work, seeing friends, and sex for fun feel impossible. And, if you struggled with your mental health before infertility, anxiety and depression are probably off the charts right about now.

I am passionate about supporting adults experiencing challenges related to grief and loss, postpartum issues, aging/end of life, caregiving, and compassion fatigue.
Hello and welcome! I am licensed to provide services in PA, NJ, & OH. My area of expertise is working with adults as they navigate grief and loss experiences. I specialize in supporting individuals after sudden/unexpected death including SUD related death or loss of a child of any age. A loss does not require death. Living losses may encompass a major life transition that involves a shift in identity like new parenthood, a career change, or the end of a significant relationship. Grief is not linear and there is no right or wrong way to grieve; however, it is helpful to have guidance to validate and normalize your experiences.

I love working with people exploring life transitions, including those happening in early adulthood, career changes, beginning and ending relationships, fertility challenges, pregnancy, post-partum, parenting, and health diagnoses.
I’m a sex therapist for people who have a hard time talking about sex. I see clients who have a complicated relationship with their body, who have trouble identifying and sharing with partners and who have blocks around sex. I work with couples who have different desire levels. I help people work through various distressing experiences that limit their access to their own pleasure. I am interested in the ways sex and intimacy are impacted by one’s relationship with their body, particularly as a result of illness or surgery. I am trained in EMDR and practice through a trauma informed relational framework.

I provide support to adults dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, parenting, infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal and post-partum issues, and so much more.
I am a clinical psychologist who's been in practice for over 25 years. I find that therapy is most effective when the therapist and client work together. We will work with each other to develop treatment goals and address the symptoms and distress that are causing you to seek therapy. While providing suggestions and insight, I aim for therapy to be an interactive and respectful process, one that encourages personal growth, behavioral changes and self-awareness. Together, we will address your unique needs and learn new ways to cope with and heal from the issues that have been troubling to you.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?

In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
