I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist. In doing this work, I have had the extraordinary experience of helping patients live more meaningful and satisfying lives. Patients often gain self-awareness, see others more clearly and make positive life changes. I use new research findings and the principles of depth psychology to better understand the way an individual's mind works, to identify longstanding patterns and to determine their effect on mood and life circumstances. This informs the identification of goals and supports their achievement. WEBSITE: BodySoulWorks.com

I take a holistic approach to therapy, which means we will address all 'buckets' of life (cognitive, social, emotional, physical, etc).
I'm currently taking on new clients for telehealth appointments only. I work with young adults and adults who are working through interpersonal relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and/or navigating life changes and personal challenges that are leading to burnout.

I work with clients weekly and focus on fears and patterns that hold them back. I'm a licensed psychologist with a certification in life coaching, so sometimes we will co-create homework assignments to help my clients take 'baby steps' towards their goals in between sessions, in order to integrate our work into your daily life. I accept insurance for individual therapy, not couples therapy. My specialty is seeing couples and individuals re relationship issues. I'm offering a dating group & a relationship skills group for those who want to improve their relationship. I have an in person office in Media, PA (licensed in PA & NY).

I also consider it an honor to help others deepen into a relationship with themselves (and others) in order to create a vision for moving forward in life that feels right.
Sometimes on our journey we need an objective guide. I can help you manage problems involving "big feelings” that otherwise overwhelm. If your goal is to start getting new results for old recurring problems we can do that with compassion and curiosity. It is important to explore our personal history to understand why we think or behave the ways we currently do. While personal growth isn't always painless, you don't have to be alone in the process if you have a therapist who will commit to the process along side of you. I can help you gain new perspectives that will get you to solve problems effectively.

Therapy can be an uplifting experience that can assist you in gaining perspective in life. Challenges are inevitable. It can be years in the making or come on suddenly without warning. Life can be overwhelming but the good news is that you do not have to face it alone. Whether it is exploring the past, coping with your current stressors or planning for future successes...Therapy can help! In a safe and non-judgmental setting, therapy can provide an outlet for self exploration.

If you want to learn tools and strategies to create the life you were meant to live, let's connect.
Whether you are interested in healing hurts from long ago or simply dissatisfied with the current state of life, therapy can help you learn to embrace, with joy and gratitude, the messiness of the human experience. I help clients cultivate the tools they need to live a more confident life, take risks, and find the wisdom and sweetness in painful experiences. Being a therapist is a privilege, and I am very grateful to be able to provide a nonjudgemental space and connect with others in such a meaningful way.

There is nothing more rewarding than to witness the rebirth of an individual breaking free of the confines developed through trauma, or other painful life experiences.
I am devoted to enacting positive change by connecting with, supporting, and empowering individuals. Throughout my journey, I have been drawn to people, felt the impact of the human experience, and have learned many lessons along the way. I consider myself a student of life, constantly learning from experiences and people; as I continue to draw breath, I will continue to learn. Perhaps the most poignant lesson I have learned thus far, is each person has the inherent power to create and live the life of his/her choosing. Your perfect life can only be designed by you.

This is a critical time in your life.
Relationships are often a union of opposites. Family backgrounds and life philosophies are different. So, it’s no surprise that conflicts arise. When it comes to how we handle that conflict, one partner wants to brush it under the rug and hopes it passes, while the other wants to come at it head-on. If we are not careful, resentment emerges. Couples therapy builds a better relationship for BOTH of you. Improving communication, parenting, trust, intimacy, and conflict management will make your relationship more satisfying.

If you are struggling in this stage of your life with things like anxiety, depression, attachment issues, past trauma, self-regulation, etc., please let me help guide you through. You will be okay and everything will be alright. Let's get there together.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
