If you're dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anger issues, divorce, career direction or job challenges, or lack of direction, allow me to guide you to a better you.
Communication is key. I work with couples and parents struggling to connect with their partner, siblings, parents, colleagues, and children. I have a particular communication model that cultivates a stronger connection to those that matter most to you. I will show you exactly what you're doing that's creating tension and arguments in your relationships. I'll then show you a better approach that formulates a stronger, more intense bond. Instead of arguing, being stressed, and anxious there's better understanding as you not only learn how to speak better but also how to listen better as well.

I have become well versed in a plethora of issues but have found a great deal of success treating those with addiction issues, PTSD, relationship struggles and phase of life issues.
I feel that the bravest thing anyone can do is begin to understand their own story and as your therapist, I’m here to help. Let’s celebrate taking that first step in sorting out and making sense of your thoughts and feelings together. Sometimes our perception of therapy is stuffy, one-sided or that we cannot be our true selves during a session. I can assure you that’s not how our time together will be spent. You have my promise to feel heard, able to engage freely, be genuine, and feel relaxed in a nonjudgmental safe space to help you feel empowered enough to cope with whatever life throws you.

I work within a relationship and interpersonal framework and integrate other approaches including mindfulness practice and somatic experiencing.
We all experience struggles and challenges as we move through life. I honor the incredible courage it takes to seek help and take this step towards improving your life. Are you experiencing difficulty in your relationships, feeling stuck, struggling to cope with loss or feeling alone? You can create change. You don't have to remain anxious, depressed, confused or paralyzed in relationships or life. I believe deeply in the profoundly transformative and enduring nature of psychotherapy. When we're feeling stagnant, overwhelmed or alone in our suffering, therapy can help us to untangle our emotions, clarify our struggles, and better understand ourselves and others.

My experience spans 35 years and includes helping people handle relationship stresses, develop life skills, improve performance at work and school, balance multiple demands and social life, and cope with online work and learning during the Pandemic.
This is a difficult time and you may be dealing with isolation or home life struggles. You may have greater stress at work or lack work. You may be facing illness and loss or handling others' needs. Managing it all on your own, talking only with family and friends, may not be enough to give you peace of mind and may not help you to do it all. Consulting with me has given many people relief and helped them find new ways to cope. Call me to tell me what's going on and maybe a telephone or Zoom meeting is a good idea now. I can also help with many other conditions and concerns so please don't hesitate. I look forward to your call.

I believe one of the most important parts of the counseling process is to develop a trusting caring relationship. With this relationship, much can be gained from the counseling sessions. I have worked well with individuals and families who have emotional pain. For many clients, helping them understand what creates such emotional pain, gaining insights puts them on a path for a more fulfilling life. In my practice I work with individuals who have sadness, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, family difficulties, sexual challenges and sexual abuse. My mission in therapy is to respect each client, and walk with them at their healing pace, I believe if we walk together on this healing journey life will be better.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
