I am a child, adolescent and family therapist and I am devoted to counseling children, adolescents, and their caregivers in individual and family therapy. I have a broad base of experience helping children and their families address emotional and behavioral issues, including issues associated with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as environmental stresses such as bullying, relationship strain, divorce, single/blended families, and adoption.

My background is working with adoption (all forms), foster care, family loss, trauma, parenting, co-dependency, and more. My practice is dedicated to working with children, adolescents and adults who are Deaf, Hard-of Hearing, Late deafened and/or users of Cochlear Implants. I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). I have a general Psychology Private Practice addressing such issues as anxiety, depression, relationships, careers and overall well being.

My orientation is psychodynamic/ interpersonal and my approach a mixture of insight-oriented, ego-supportive and cognitive behavioral strategies. Insight-oriented therapy focuses on unconscious factors, faulty belief systems and unmet needs which influence a person's perceptions and emotional response patterns. Goals of treatment are to: increase self-awareness, self-acceptance and emotional intelligence; work though past wounds and current fears; identify what is important in one's life and relationships: and, develop new skill-sets and thinking patterns which lead to better choices and outcomes. Life is about challenges and successes, not impossibilities.
