Hi, I’m Tammy and welcome to Cornerstone Wellness! I am rooted in the belief that every person has the ability to grow. I am an active counselor that promotes a forward movement style: Define the problem, seek solutions, and create forward movement. This technique looks different for everyone. The client always sets the pace. Using research-based techniques in a supportive, safe environment, I strive to empower the client to move forward independently. I am not focused on labels or giving a diagnosis...the focus is always on the treatment and goals the client desires.

I try to create a warm, inviting and safe space for my clients' emotions and thoughts to be freely expressed. I am an active counselor - I will not just sit back and nod my head. My clients and I team together to find pathways for lasting healing for trauma, hurt, and brokenness. I am certified in EMDR. I counsel with a trauma informed and gestalt/eclectic approach, and treat every client with their own individualized treatment process - no "cookie cutter counseling!"

I have worked in the treatment since i was 36 and have 35 years of experience. My early experience was in the drug and alcohol and relapse prevention field. During that time i attended the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland, Ohio where I took 4 years of intense training.
