I specialize in both ADHD therapy as well as psychological assessment for a variety of issues including ADHD, learning disabilities, career coaching, diagnostic concerns and treatment issues.
Do you feel like you are always working but never get anything done? Are you secretly afraid that you are just lazy? Do people often complain that they feel like you are not listening to them? Have you tried all kinds of strategies to help your ADHD symptoms but nothing works, or at least not for long? If so, I may be able to help. I have been working, for over 15 years, with warmth and compassion, to help late adolescents and adults find concrete, useful strategies that feel authentic to their life so that they can reach their goals.

My goal is to foster a warm, accepting, and respectful environment where we celebrate the beauty of ADHD while exploring and addressing the practical, emotional, psychological, and relational impacts of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world.
I feel both honored and privileged to partner with individuals and couples to build their understanding of their challenges, leverage their strengths, and create personalized strategies to make meaningful changes in their lives. As a therapist with ADHD, I recognize that one of the most painful experiences that come with ADHD is feeling “in your own way” and the sense of thwarted potential that comes along with it. I also know that ADHD doesn’t just impact attention, organization, and motivation; it can affect your entire life, from your performance at work to your home life and inner world.

With everything going on in your world, ADHD may feel like the last thing you want to be dealing with right now. You may have a job, a family, and you just want to complete the goals you set for yourself, but things aren’t working the way you want them to. Maybe you’ve tried treatment in the past and it didn’t work out or maybe this is the first time you’re considering it. However you got here, I’m glad you made it. It takes courage to recognize that you could use support getting to a place where you feel more balanced in your life– like you can finally act on your intentions.

Having ADHD can often feel like a daily battle with yourself to accomplish tasks, maintain relationships, and attend to your own needs, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Learning how to work with rather than against your ADHD can be a transformative experience, and I would be honored to work with you through this journey. Together in therapy, we can work to tackle the challenges of ADHD while also bolstering your natural strengths and coming into and honoring your most authentic self. I work to create a therapeutic space that is constructive, creative, and above all compassionate. I can’t wait to welcome you in.

Waitlist for new clients
I treat every client as a being in their entirety and aim to address all aspects of their lives that they feel have been impacted by ADHD.
I believe that therapy should be a partnership and strive to create a warm environment where trust can grow and people can thrive. I hope to help each of my clients identify what makes them their best selves and learn how to leverage those strengths. By finding ways to work with your unique brain instead of against it, we can create individualized strategies that are both practical and effective for you and your ADHD. As a person with ADHD myself, I also know that its effects often reach outside of productivity and organization into psychological and emotional wellbeing.

I love my approach to brain wave training with neurofeedback. It is broadly effective at producing substantial results in your life that are enduring. Most often I see people with anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, migraine, PTSD, addictions, bipolar and autism. I believe that most people with psychological issues have brain wave activity that is either over-aroused or under-aroused. That is, either too much or too little brain wave activity in either the fast or slow frequencies. Mental problems are a timing issue in the brain. These timing issues can be corrected by practicing a better way to function.

I am most suited to help clients dealing with loss, prior childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity (in all its manifestations), divorce, self-esteem, grief, and emotional regulation.
I specialize in working with clients from the ages of 14 to adulthood, who are inquisitive, self-aware, and deeply motivated to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, move into a place of self-respect/love, and develop adaptive ways of coping, communicating, and problem-solving. I have worked for many years with children, teens, adults, and families dealing with trauma and change and searching for authenticity, often in a world that values the superficial. Therapy is a process of seeking meaning, managing change, letting go of what no longer makes sense for who we are and what we want, healing, and growing.

I have expertise in helping those struggling with: suicidality, depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism and other neurodivergence, ADHD, stage of life change, grief and loss, and relational concerns.
For most people taking the step to start working on therapeutic goals can be intimidating. I pride myself in utilizing a collaborative approach to treatment that meets clients where they are while also celebrating the progress they make along the way. I firmly believe that within each person lies the key to improving their own mental wellbeing. I help clients find strength within themselves by unearthing their personal key and then apply it to their life. As a therapist and supervisor I focus on family, couples and children's therapy, especially working with neurodivergence and the full autism spectrum using evidence-based models.

I am comfortable working with a wide variety of issues including family problems, learning problems, ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety and pervasive developmental disorders.
Much of my success in working with children has come from my ability to effectively establish a strong therapeutic relationship. I give children a safe place in which they can effectively express their feelings. Boundaries are extremely important in this process. My patients know that what they say in my office stays in my office. I work collaterally with families to help address a child's needs, without violating the trust or the boundaries we have established. Much of my work has been with children who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and learning differences. Many of my patients have a combination of these issues. I

One of my many interests is the challenge of treating an adult or a couple in which ADHD is an issue .
Are you frequently feeling nervous or experiencing worrisome repetitive thoughts? Are you having difficulty communicating with your loved ones because anger, frustration and shared emotional overload impede the interaction before anything is accomplished? Do you feel misunderstood? I am a clinical psychologist with many years of experience as an individual, couples and family therapist treating anxiety, depression, and communication issues. The focus of treatment is determined by the mutual agreement of the client and the therapist. I firmly believe that the emotional safety provided by the psychologist is essential.

I support individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, professional challenges, and family issues.
Are you feeling like the happiness, peace of mind, and professional success which you desire is consistently out of your grasp? My typical client knows that something in their life is not working, and they are ready to seek out meaningful change. Making the first step to reach out and pursue support is often the most difficult step. The good news is that psychotherapy and professional coaching are powerful tools for creating lasting change; for those ready to make the leap.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
