I have been in private practice since 1992, and have worked extensively in private, hospital and community mental health settings. My work focuses on helping people who are experiencing Depression and Anxiety. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and physical (body) problems. My specialties include trauma(PTSD, dissociation), abuse (sexual, physical, domestic),anxiety disorders,and body issues (illness, pain, eating disorders, fibromyalgia). Over the last fourteen years plus of helping adults process, heal and grow through therapy, my primary focus has been on helping those struggling with a variety of issues including depression, grief, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. I have experience using holistic approaches to trauma, mood disorders, parenting, relationships, substance use disorders, crisis intervention, disruptive disorders, grief, and postpartum issues. I use evidence-based techniques like Structural Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I love working with couples and families! I believe those relationships are powerful, to hurt or to heal, and when family systems change, healing continues long after therapy.

Mike offers holistic counseling services for those struggling to find balance on a spiritual, emotional or cognitive level.

As a LCSW, I specialize in treating adults with physical health conditions, as well as substance abuse and other addictions, through Motivational Interviewing. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat those experiencing depression and/or anxiety. It is important to me to develop an individualized treatment approach with each client.

I work with client's struggling with a range of emotional health and lifestyle issues. I enjoy using humor in my therapeutic approach as well as strengths-based focus to help you achieve your goals of emotional wellness. I am currently accepting morning/early afternoon telehealth appointments Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays (evening hours and in-office are full at this time).
