I have extensive experience counseling married couples through a number of problems such as infidelity, conflict resolution, blended families, impact of early childhood trauma, and other issues. I integrate modern psychological techniques and therapies with Biblical values and concepts. Psychological techniques such as Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Family Systems, Emotionally Focused, and Trauma Therapy are highly compatible with Biblical teaching. Couples are affirmed in their Biblical beliefs and encouraged to integrate them with modern psychological understandings.

What sets me apart is that I will call you within 24 hours of getting a call from you.I suppose my ideal client would be the one that would feel the best fit with me. After the research that has been done, what matters most is the relationship (the fit) you have with your therapist, not their level of expertise, sense of humor, great coping skills, etc. However, I do best with individuals who are highly motivated to change. That does not mean that there will not be setbacks. However, it's how we view those setbacks. Are they failures or learning experiences? I prefer learning experiences. My goal is to get you to be your ideal self.

Heidi Hughes, LPC Heidi has lived in Bucks County, Pa the majority of her childhood and adult life; minus a few years in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Her education focused primarily on Psychology (Counseling) , Cultural Anthropology, Marriage & Family Therapy and Music. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with Problem Gambling endorsement, she puts her years of professional training to use helping people cope with Co-Occurring issues and Marriage, Couples & Family.
