I offer trauma informed talk therapy and creative/somatic therapies for creative thinkers.
It feels like nothing you do is good enough, sapping your energy and joy from life. The critical inner voice as at a volume 10, and things just don’t feel worth attempting to do anymore. You are worn out, and tired of repeating the same patterns. You feel alone.

I am also trained in somatic trauma therapy emphasizing techniques like meditation, art, and movement to help access and integrate underlying emotional distress.
I hold a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Western States in Portland, OR. My primary research focus is transpersonal experiences and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and integration. My philosophy is one of organicity, meaning that every individual is gifted with an innate healing wisdom and capacity for wholeness. As a former earth scientist and current artist, I incorporate lessons from nature and creative expression in my work, and seek to help others reconnect with the more subtle rhythms of psyche as a woven thread in the generative fabric of life.

I honor your unique inner wisdom and use mindful, experiential and somatic approaches to therapy to assist you in discovering more of your truth.
My intention is to provide a supportive and attuned therapeutic relationship that invites you to safely explore your experience in life with curiosity, kindness and acceptance. You might be aware of a specific issue you'd like to work on, or perhaps you are impacted by a more general perception of yourself as somehow flawed, inadequate, unworthy, unloved, or like you just don't belong. I focus on helping people in these areas as well as problems related to depression, anxiety, attachment/relationship issues, self-esteem, shame, LGBTQ+ issues. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach to counseling.

I utilize mindful, somatic, IFS, experiential and attachment informed practice.
When relationship challenges arise, it can be more difficult to feel connected, in alignment, and in choice. Most of us are doing our best, but if our strategies aren't effective we can sometimes feel stuck, distressed, or confused. By bringing awareness to our relational patterns in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment, I believe we build capacity to take on our unique challenges as a team with the important people in our life. My goal is to support people to feel greater safety, self worth, regulation, collaboration and alignment in their lives and relationships.

I believe the role of a therapist is to be more than a reflective and empathetic companion in the client’s journey and must also incorporate directive approaches in order to alternate between being a companion and being a leader on that journey. Inherent in this belief is that clients are coming to therapy because they want something different than what they currently have. This can be as simple as a new perspective on a past or current struggle or as complex as a new skill set for managing and overcoming emotional, behavioral, cognitive, relational, or somatic patterns that have arisen in response to emotional distress.

I work with adults and adolescents and offer an integrative approach to counseling that often pulls from attachment, neurobiology, and somatic interventions.
I provide counseling for a wide-range of challenges including: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, self esteem/self worth and relationship issues. I am a relational counselor and prioritize collaboration and empowerment in my work with my clients. Additionally, I often work with those who have been impacted by trauma and I have specialized training in trauma-specific models of care (ie. brainspotting and other somatic resourcing models), for both acute and longer-term recovery supports. I embrace a social justice/anti-oppressive framework that values equity and inclusion in the therapeutic process.

As a somatic psychotherapist, I combine traditional talk therapy with somatic experiencing techniques to help identify and heal deep-seated wounds.
Feeling stuck in a cycle? Longing for a change but unsure how to break free? It's a frustrating place to be, unable to move forward despite your efforts. You find yourself prioritizing everyone else's needs over your own, struggling to set boundaries and drowning in guilt when you do. Somewhere along the way, you've lost sight of who you are beneath the roles you play for others, putting on a brave face while feeling emotionally drained inside. Your emotions might be overwhelming or numbed out altogether. You might be experiencing overwhelming pressure from family, work, friends, and the demands of everyday life.

My main clinical approach integrates psychodynamic (working through influential/unresolved issues from early development), existentialist (we all want to find meaning in life), person-centered (congruency between how you see yourself/how others see you), and Core Energetics therapy (somatic work) elements into a holistic practice style.
I work with a range of issues (depression, anxiety, addiction, creativity/inspiration, relationships, job stress, grief/loss) and offer both long- and short-term therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their current experience and to identify realistic steps to facilitate change in order to better serve life goals. I encourage active engagement in treatment to better support greater and long-term desired change and will serve as an advocate on your behalf in these pursuits.
