I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in the mental health treatment of adolescents and adults. I have specialized training in the clinical treatment of trauma and have worked with clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, emotional/verbal abuse, religious and spiritual trauma/abuse, as well as with adult survivors of familial dysfunction and childhood abuse. I also have specialized training in the clinical treatment of mood disorders, depression, anxiety, negative thought patterns, panic attacks, stress management as well as stage of life transitions.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. I have 20+ years experience providing therapy to a variety of clientele. I believe that all people have the capacity for change. My passion is working with adults or adolescents and their families. I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, oppositional defiant disorders, family conflict including divorce, and trauma. I have a background working with addictions in conjunction with a wide range of diagnosis. I also am able to successfully work with individuals and families who have experienced violence or abuse.

I have worked with varied populations throughout Louisiana and Oregon; most often with male & female adults, couples, adolescents, and children ages 7-11. I have addressed multiple varied needs including sexual dysfunction, gang activity, drug use, domestic violence, PTSD, personality, mood disorders as well as relationship issues. **Education: I have a bachelor's degree (4 years) in Psychology (Oregon State University, Corvallis). I also have (one year) education (Holy Cross College, New Orleans, Louisiana) in Marriage and Family Therapy. I acquired a master's degree in Social Work (3 year master's program) from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

I work non judgmentally with clients to examine/strengthen relationships.I work with individuals,couples and families to repair and rebuild relationships that are not functioning at their best.With the client,the current concern is examined then goals and steps toward change are developed.I feel a persons self esteem is often a key component to current concerns and difficulties being experienced, as such this is examined.I believe the child parent relationship is key to a child's development and self esteem. I work with the parent to create the strongest connection possible with their child.

Occasionally, I will supplement the work with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, art therapy, and concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS).
