You already possess the ability to reach your full potential. My job as your therapist is to listen, walk alongside you, and help you move toward this potential. People seek therapy because they desire happiness. Let's begin by discovering what happiness looks like for you. Do you feel unheard, dismissed and over-ridden by a parent or partner even though you are an adult? Do you feel as though attempting to set new boundaries for yourself is next to impossible because important others will simply disregard them? Therapy can help you learn to fully validate within yourself what it is you feel and believe, and what it is you consider to be important. Peace, authenticity, and balance are springboards to happiness. My goal is to offer you individualized help in overcoming the obstacles that are blocking that happiness. Taking a step, reaching out for some help, will lead you to the change and growth you are hoping for. And whether you are seeking thriving relationships or simply greater contentment, I will help you tap into your own innate strengths to bring about a fuller, happier life.

I frequently help folks navigate issues of identity, academic and career struggles, relational tension, suicidal ideation, religious/spiritual crises, and other existential concerns.
Witnessing our mental landscapes can be uncomfortable. We often get caught in patterns of thought that are as chaotic and unpredictable as the weather. We might wish for clear blue skies when what we have is a lightning storm, or for a sunset to never end as night quickly approaches. But it is this very yearning that makes us suffer, and it is embracing the inevitable transience of this moment that sets us free. We can’t control the weather, no matter how hard we strive. We can learn how to walk confidently in the direction we want to go, even in the pouring rain.

I enjoy working with relationship and family concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and academic/career struggles.
Therapy is a transformational space. Whether there are clear obstacles to your mental health or you are curious to know yourself more fully, my hope is for you to view yourself with self-compassion and see your life context with more self-awareness. I greatly value the therapeutic relationship as a safe place to explore yourself and better understand your relational style. Exploring how family and culture influence your sense of self and the world are also important tools of self-discovery. In my approach, I collaboratively establish goals and expectations for our work together and am transparent about my methods and decisions.

I have been counseling for over twenty years, and working with people is truly my passion. I work primarily with teens, adults, and couples, with an emphasis in working with first responders . I specialize in self-harm behaviors, eating disorders, relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem, and abuse issues. As a Christian counselor I integrate Biblical truths with psychological principles. I believe it is the job of the counselor to provide a safe, supportive, challenging, and collaborative environment for each client that enters the office. I work with many insurance companies as an out-of-network provider only.

Are you feeling challenged by motherhood? As a therapist who specializes in maternal mental health, I help you process and cope with the stress, anxiety, and overwhelm that surfaces during the parenting years. Relationship concerns, career transitions, exceptional children, even coping with loneliness are all common counseling topics. With very little time to process complex feelings, these issues can lead to anxiety, ambivalence, anger, even grief. I give women the space to explore their very real feelings, while fostering confidence in, and compassion for, themselves through this intense season of life.

When addressing career and work issues, I refer to my experience as an MBA who once worked in the corporate world.
As a licensed psychologist and Jungian analyst, I gently proceed at your pace as we explore what is happening in your life--experiences and your feelings about them-- in search of meaning and the potential for the transformation of depression, anxiety, and relationships. Finding meaning opens an individual to self-acceptance, transformation, authenticity, and renewed energy for life and relationship.
