Everyone wants to be heard. One of the most fulfilling experiences for us as individuals is to tell our story and have it heard. My first priority when working with a new client is to find a way for them to tell their story and then to hear/receive it and validate their feelings. People have a variety of ways for communicating their feelings and experiences, for this reason I utilize several different interventions to help the client share their story in a safe and comfortable environment. I am especially interested in working with interracial couples, first/second generation immigrants, queer folx, BIPOCs, men, and sex workers.
