I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, rooted in extensive research on human connection and used in counseling for over 30 years.
You may feel unbalanced in your relationship, wondering "Do we want the same things?" "Are we still a team?" You may deal with it by reaching out repeatedly hoping your partner's response eases your concern. You care so much! Or you hope your partner gives you space to process because you don't always know what to do in the moment, but you do want things to get better! When these strategies don’t work, the relationship can start to feel stuck in a pattern neither of you want. In our counseling sessions, my goal is to help you find new patterns of deeper intimacy and stronger communication so you can enjoy the life you live together.

I have also received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Method Couple's Therapy.
Being human isn't always easy, no matter how much we would like it to be. Sometimes we experience events and relationship challenges that shake us to the core, leave our emotions raw, and challenge everything that we think we believe about the world. One of my passions is helping individuals and couples to find coping strategies, process through the difficulties they are facing, and help them move towards healing and growth. I offer a compassionate space that honors all of the emotions and experiences my clients bring to the room, and allow them to process at their own pace, while encouraging them to face difficult things.

In sessions, I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, IFS, EFT, EMDR, and somatic experiencing.
I believe that with the right support each person has the power to heal. I also believe that each person is the expert in their own life. Many of us experience trauma throughout our lives and the impacts are so long lasting and widespread. I hold space for clients to explore and de-tangle their trauma through a self-compassionate and relational lens. Whether you are seeking support with trauma processing or current stressors, I believe that through collaboration and celebration of your strengths, you can find a path towards healing.

My work is influenced by somatics, psychodynamics, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy ( EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I help people who feel that something is missing, stuck, or unfulfilled in their life. Emotional turmoil can diminish our well-being and quality of life. I support those who want to feel loved, respected and connected with others, liberated from the fear of abandonment, and feel confident and empowered in themselves and their decisions. If you want to work towards a sense of inner peace and fulfillment in yourself and your relationships, I'm here to support and guide you on that journey.

I am an EMDR specialist and EFT( emotionally focused therapy) trained couple counselor.
I have had the privilege of witnessing people undergo the slow, extremely subtle and remarkable journey of healing and self-transformation. This process of psychological growth is astoundingly complex, multilayered, circular and even mysteriously numinous in its unfolding. My philosophy as a therapist is primarily on core transformation rather than merely symptom management and needless to say, I strongly believe in the centrality of the therapeutic relationship as a significant healing agent. Moving towards our wholeness necessitates the courage to first move into the wounded parts that we all have as members of the human species.

I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy ( EFT) the gold standard of effective couples therapy.
My clients are people who want more enjoyment and intimate connection in their lives. Many of my clients struggle to maintain relationships, or in feeling close to those they love. They may have a history of abuse or neglect (emotional, physical, sexual, or spiritual), or were raised in homes where boundaries, roles, and expectations were confusing or even frightening. As a result they find themselves "on the outside," feeling unseen, anxious, resentful, and isolated, even with people they love. Experiencing the safety of being deeply known and deeply loved is their greatest longing, and my greatest joy to help them attain.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative, sacred space where clients bring themselves and their stories. Using your stories and experiences, our work together will center on your present circumstance as well as your hopes and expectations for the future. As a systems and attachment trained clinician, our work together may involve exploring your patterns in relationships, responses to trauma, what you value, social challenges you experience, and/or your strengths and resources. Our therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to me. Honesty and vulnerability will be a crucial aspect of our therapeutic relationship.
