I find that people reach out to treatment when excessive worry, low motivation, and negative thinking can lead to feeling less confident in their work, behind on tasks at home, and impacting their relationships. I don't treat ADHD and I don't prescribe controlled substances, such as Xanax for anxiety.

Serenity & Strength LLC is a 100% online mental health service treating adults anywhere in Oregon. My therapeutic approach is active and uses research-proven treatments when possible. This is effective for motivated individuals and helps establish long-term stable results. As a psychiatrist, I prescribe medications when appropriate, but do not emphasize the use of medications in my practice. Please note, I do not prescribe controlled substances (e.g. benzodiazepine sedatives, stimulant medication, opioid pain medications).

When I was in the 9th grade, I was one of two students from every class that were selected by their classmates to become Natural Helpers. We received training in the skills of active listening, mediation and problem-solving. Little did I know that this experience would lead me to where I am today, as a counselor and therapist for the last twenty-two years. In my work in residential treatment, outpatient clinics and pain management practice, I have thoroughly loved getting to watch people of the ages 13 to 95 have epiphanies, adopt new perspectives, change unhelpful thought patterns, and begin to love and know themselves again.
