Working in an atmosphere of safety and acceptance, individuals, couples, families and groups are encouraged to explore and confront the issues affecting their lives. We are licensed by the state of Oregon for both mental health and addiction services. We are covered by most insurance plans and have therapists/nurses on most managed care panels.

My general approach is called rational eclecticism; using the most effective therapeutic approach to address each individual's unique issues. I’m increasingly focusing on trauma and toxic stress and the ways it often shows up as depression, anxiety, sadness and at times a loss of identity. Some clients beginning counseling remember feeling joy, excitement, or self-confidence that they rarely if ever feel when they first begin therapy. Evergreen Behavioral Health is a growing group practice of trauma trained clinicians located in Salem, OR. Evergreen provides counseling services that specialize not only in standard trauma treatment, but in providing therapeutic services focused on attachment trauma and breaking up the cycle of intergenerational trauma. Evergreen provides services to children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Here at Evergreen we value the experience and healing that face-to-face, in-person sessions provide. While we offer telehealth as a backup option, we encourage clients to attend in person.

Hi there, my name is Cynthia Shaver, LPC, NCC. I have over 10 years of experience working professionally with clients to achieve their counselling goals in both private practice and community mental health settings. I work with individuals and couples, as well as providing clinical supervision for LPC and MFT Associates in Oregon. I use a trauma-informed lens when working with both clients or supervisees and have experience in emotional focused therapy, EMDR, and various other modalities that attune to clients' unique needs to help them reach their therapeutic goals.

Natalie (Nat) Day is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduated from Boise State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2018. Over the last decade she has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, on-campus college counseling, substance abuse treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and community mental health. Specializing in the treatment of trauma, addictions, and sexuality (with special focus on kink/BDSM/sex work), her approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing on a variety of evidenced based practices.
