A person's mental health and many common mental disorders are shaped by various social, economic, and physical environments operating at different stages of life. Good mental health is integral to human health and well-being. Risk factors for many common mental disorders are heavily associated with social inequalities. Sometimes life becomes overwhelming, and that can lead to feeling lost and alone. It can be difficult to know where to turn, and how to find the right help. I often work with people who are facing depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). You might be experiencing sadness, discouragement, or anxiety that interferes with your everyday life. While each person has their own journey to go through, you are certainly not alone, and you don’t have to feel this way forever. With therapy you can begin to climb out of isolation and start feeling like yourself again.

Counseling is a challenging avenue to pursue. Usually at moments of confusion, loss, even desperation. Having been in the field for over 20 years, I can admit I don't have 1 answer. However, having that amount of professional (and considerable personal) experience, I've accumulated quite a tool box.
