I'm glad you're seeking support! I’m particularly passionate about supporting people who are working through sexual shame, navigating ethical non-monogamy, and those who identify neurodivergent (specifically Autistic or ADHD), queer, and/or BIPOC. I believe that community is at the core of our being. Despite that, relationships (platonic, romantic, or otherwise) are complicated. Navigating challenges that arise and staying curious can allow you to find ways to heal and discover your truth.

I work with individuals & couples, with a passion for supporting neurodivergent folks, sex workers, and those experiencing sexual or relationship concerns. As a neurodivergent person, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating our world. The constant ebb and flow of mental health, compounded by external pressures, can be incredibly overwhelming and defeating. I know how deeply activating relationships with others can be and how painful it can be to be vulnerable. I have also witnessed the deeply transformative power that comes from having support, access to resources, introspection, and time to process with another person.

If you’re reading this, we already know you’re struggling. Maybe you’re having trouble “adulting”. You’re feeling like everyone else seems to have it all together, why can’t you? Your mental health is getting worse and worse, and you just want it to stop. Your day to day life is chaos and worry and you remember better days when things just weren't like this. You might feel like you’re out of control of your life.

I am particularly passionate about working with individuals who are navigating their own journeys of self-discovery & couples who are wanting to improve their relationship. Whether you're a young adult, undergoing a career transition, or exploring queer and trans identities at any stage of life, I’m here to support you in differentiating between what you’ve been told you should want and what you genuinely desire. Growing up in a dysfunctional family, being in a toxic or abusive relationship, or experiencing the horrors of a traumatic event can set you on a collision course with daily triggers to anger, sadness, overwhelm, panic, or dissociation. Maybe you notice your reactions in your relationships are causing harm, and you regularly experience the dreaded “shame spiral.” You minimize your pain, or others regularly do. If this is you, I’m glad you’re here. Long-term healing is possible. Even if only a small part of you hopes for change, I'm confident it's enough to start the journey toward a peaceful and thriving life.

I believe that we all do the best we can. I believe in the wisdom of the individual and the strength in each of us. I believe that there is power in our stories. I believe that we are stronger together. I believe we can change, do better and be better in our daily lives. I believe that small steps turn into big changes. I believe in being brave, finding your voice and believing in yourself. I believe that laughter is the best medicine and not taking ourselves too seriously. I focus on relationship first in all the work that I do. I focus on connection and the strengths of the individual to drive the work and the change.

The world we live in does not set us up to intuitively connect with ourselves. The demands of productivity can erode our most important relationship: the one we cultivate with ourselves. Maybe you've arrived face-to-face with a new or unfamiliar part of yourself. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, lonely, anxious, depressed, unworthy, or not (fill in the blank) enough. You might be someone seeking support in navigating relational difficulties, past or present. Wherever you’ve found yourself, it can help having someone beside you as you begin to make sense of the push and pull of life's tides.

In 2023, I cofounded Grove Mental Health LLC (www.grovementalhealth.com) in order to directly implement the expertise I have gained over the past two decades of work in the mental health field. At the core of my practice is a belief that together we are removing barriers. With the fog of depression removed, with the constant noise of anxiety removed, with the weight of trauma removed, we can be free to live in congruence with that best version of ourselves. The work that we do will be to foster the confidence and connection with what lies within, tapping into the strength and stability provided by all of our intertwined roots.

You deserve to live fully and freely, to express yourself, and to be heard with curiosity and intent to understand. This often means unlearning behaviors or ideas that may have served us in the past and are now holding us back, releasing societal expectations that feel out of alignment with us, and learning what works for us now. We’ll work together to understand how your past shaped who you are, and to discover how you want to show up today.

I firmly believe positive change is achievable through making personally informed choices. Having the support of a trained professional who can listen critically, challenge existing assumptions, and offer new approaches can make a huge difference. My goal is to help you identify tools and strategies you can use to tackle the challenges you face.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
