My practice is one of acceptance. My space is a judgement free zone. I am a licensed therapist, driven by a passion for assisting individuals, families, and intimate partners with diverse needs. Regardless of what your needs are, I will always consider how all of the relationships in your life are contributing to the reason you called.

I work with trauma survivors who find themselves locked into old patterns of behavior that can be confusing or damaging. My clients are often stressed out and overwhelmed. They focus on keeping everyone around them happy and are cued into any slight sign of conflict. They are often perfectionists and overachievers, but they have a hard time feeling good about themselves. They struggle to feel safe and connected in relationships and often have attachment styles that have been shaped by trauma and can feel anxious or disconnected and suffocated.

I provide holistic psychotherapy to adult individuals ready to embark on a deep and kind healing exploration towards their therapeutic goals. I have a passion for helping people find their power and rewrite the story of who they are. I have extensive experience helping with anxiety and depression, family-of-origin issues, internalized shame and self-criticism, relational or intergenerational trauma, complex trauma, and more. I also have specific knowledge working with people stable in their 12-Step recovery who are looking to dive deeper to heal roots issues; and I have unique insights into helping transplants from other countries.

Later life can be a particularly difficult time with multiple major life changes and transitions, losses, declining health and ability, and other issues. Likewise, those who provide care to aging loved ones or clients may face their own difficulty adjusting to life transitions, caregiver fatigue and burnout, or loss of identity and social connections. Healing is a subtle & gradual process, & thankfully we don't have to do it alone. In supporting your healing process, my desire is to see you move from constriction (pain/trauma/symptoms) into expansion (pleasure/liberation/alignment with self). I believe we do this by: recognizing the barriers in our lives, finding the ways in which trauma has been stuck & stored within the body, & gently moving through stagnant pain/symptoms by establishing safety & recalibrating the nervous system together. Therapy is a beautiful co-creative process where we get to support the life you envision; one that honors your most sacred self!

I provide therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of strengths and challenges. I integrate expressive arts with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you process feelings and experiences, reduce inner conflict, and improve relationships. I use a multi-arts, or intermodal, approach, which means I use movement, visual art, music and sound, writing, and mindfulness as therapeutic tools to initiate healing and change. Since this work is based on the creative process and not the resulting product, no background or training in the arts is required to benefit.

It is my mission to provide specialized treatment for children, youth, & adults in areas of mental health recovery (depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and complex trauma), racial identity, women’s wellness, body image issues, complex trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss, intercultural relationships, life transitions, ancestral/intergenerational trauma, and somatic therapy. I have been working in the field of counseling since 2000 having received my Masters of Arts (MA) in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon and Alaska and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington. I offer online individual counseling to adults and adolescents in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon.

With the Covid-19 Virus my therapy methods have gone to phone or Tele Therapy. My therapeutic style is a holistic goal orientated approach to help patients better understand themselves by developing insight to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and to cultivate the life that have you imagined or dreamed possible.
