I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and create change in their lives; therapy is simply a space in which the individual can focus on the journey of change. My approach is client centered and strengths based. I believe that individuals naturally have a foundation of strengths and skills that can be built upon in a therapeutic setting. I am rooted in a holistic approach to therapy, which means I believe that there are often external and internal layers to life that may be addressed during treatment. My goal as the counselor is to create a safe and warm environment where the client is free to express themselves.

I've had many years of experience providing therapy for individuals recovering from trauma,individuals who had developed habits of self-sabotage in relationships or at work for various reasons. I work primarily with children and adolescents using play, art, sand tray and expressive art therapy interventions. I work closely with families who wish to strengthen their child/parent relationship to help better understand the dynamics that make up a family system. I also work with adoptees and LGBTQ+ youth who struggle with identity issues and help them learn more about who they are.
