Thinking about writing this profile, I wanted to make it simple........I'm an old-fashioned therapist with great boundaries and carefully-monitored ethics. Then I thought you might want to know more about me and my style of therapy! I bring warmth, sometimes humor, to our work together. I'm a good listener......I won't fall asleep or interrupt to discuss my own agenda. I won't tell you to divorce your spouse or to stop compulsively overeating. I will help you find your own solutions and offer support as you take, sometimes very challenging, steps towards healing.

I believe that healing is an attitude that is available to everyone and comes from within, which often needs coaxing and cultivating. Healing is not necessarily a state of perfect physical or mental health but is a range of positive adaptations that can be taught and learned. I use a person-centered approach, collaborating with my clients to work towards healing the whole person and improving their quality of life. I enjoy working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents, and children on a variety of different issues. I look forward to walking beside my clients with compassion and empathy, as they explore their own path.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Counseling and Human Services from California State University, Fullerton, and a CACREP-accredited Master of Arts from the University of the Cumberlands. Registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, Chris specializes in couples' therapy, helping partners navigate their relationships with compassion and understanding.

Sexual addiction (SA) is a hidden addiction. It is a global problem, under-reported, and largely untreated. SA harms relationships, creates relational trauma for partners, and damages trust and intimacy in relationships. Addicts often engage in secrecy and feel shame and guilt about their behavior. Partners often feel betrayed and traumatized by the addicts behavior. Intimacy issues are often an underlying concern for both individuals and for couples. Like other addictions, SA can get progressively worse over the years. If untreated, SA can lead to relationship loss, divorce, job loss. financial problems, and legal problems.

I believe most of what people need, lie deep inside of themselves. However, it gets so scattered and splattered we have a hard time connecting the dots! Through a collaborative effort, I am here to help guide you in connecting the dots. And when need be, help bridge the gaps with resources and education to support your mental health goals. In sessions I will check in with what you're needing to address or we will work on pre-set goals. I do a lot of work with strengths based care and solutions focused work.
