I offer talk therapy services to adults (25+) from all cultures, genders, religions, sexual, and economic backgrounds. I am an independent practitioner at the Firefly Institute in Hillsboro, Oregon. Clients experiencing emotional distress due to life transitions, past trauma, codependency and those in helping positions (medical, teaching, mental health, etc) with compassion fatigue/vicarious trauma are who I most often work with.

I am equipped and passionate about helping you move through the darker parts of your life, past or present. All of us do our best in any circumstance yet sometimes the tools that helped us through the darker times are the same things holding us back now. You can overcome anything, and I would love to help re-equip you with the tools you need to move forward.

The journey of healing is a collaborative process between therapist and patient. I am direct, warm, and respectful in my professional approach and work best with people who are curious and motivated to understand themselves and learn to address current struggles in new and adaptive ways.

I work with a diverse client base, ranging from children to adult, using evidence-based therapies in person or via telehealth. I specifically am focused on clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or familial/romantic relationship themes. I have spent time working internationally with the most vulnerable of populations and am excellent at drawing out those not familiar with the talk therapy model. I am happy to use a clients existing coping strategies such as spiritual beliefs and practices or help create new ones.

Individual adult therapy that utilizes an integrative & holistic approach, by working in the present moment. My intention is to offer a nurturing & compassionate place to share & grow, while exploring what you need. In session, I will help you consciously wire in cognitive thought patterns that correlate with somatic (body) states, that connect you with your strengths. I teach experiential, mindful practices that cultivate insights & awareness that will help you notice, pause, & breathe. When we remember to tune into practices that build & support resilience, it is easier to maintain a healthier well-being.

I work with individuals and families across the lifespan both in person and via telehealth formats. My specialty areas include child development, trauma, anxiety, grief & loss and chronic medial issues. I have a play therapy room designed for expressive therapies and family systems work. I am certified in trauma, EMDR for children and adults and am faculty at the institute teaching in trauma informed care, play therapy, clinical supervision and animal assisted human health. My work involves complex divorce and family therapy needs. I provide clinical supervision for professionals seeking licensing or play therapy certification.

We become unrecognizable to ourselves and disconnected from our own needs. Our physical health is impacted. We experience spiraling thoughts and an inability to relax. I take an eclectic, client-centered, evidence-based approach that focuses on combining the best available research with your individual preferences and learning/interaction styles. Our time in therapy will focus on teaching you skills to help you relate to yourself, your emotions, and your thoughts in more effective ways, while also exploring how those patterns formed.

I am deeply passionate about helping individuals who find themselves experiencing challenging life changes and transitions. They may be grappling with issues related to trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, or the complexities of grief. As a second-generation immigrant, I am also passionate about helping individuals navigate multi-generational family dynamics and commitments, while also deepening their understanding of their own identity and experiences.
