Individual adult therapy that utilizes an integrative & holistic approach, by working in the present moment. My intention is to offer a nurturing & compassionate place to share & grow, while exploring what you need. In session, I will help you consciously wire in cognitive thought patterns that correlate with somatic (body) states, that connect you with your strengths. I teach experiential, mindful practices that cultivate insights & awareness that will help you notice, pause, & breathe. When we remember to tune into practices that build & support resilience, it is easier to maintain a healthier well-being.

My biggest passion is working with parents and families in meeting the needs of their children, especially children who struggle with managing their emotions or anxiety. Most of the time, kids under the age of 12 really need their parents' involvement in order for therapy to be successful. I offer a combination of parent support and coaching, with teaching you and your child strategies to manage big emotions in the most effective way possible - together. To book an initial consultation call, send me a message via Psychology Today, OR schedule directly with Headway: www.headway.co/providers/beth-owens

When we have healthy relationships with those that are important to us, life tends to run more smoothly. When this is not the case our lives can feel out of control and we can become anxious, frustrated, angry or depressed. I enjoy working with couples as they work to create and maintain healthy and fulfilling relationships. I also work with individuals as they struggle with many of life's concerns and difficulties. I always consider a clients family of origin experiences to discover possible connections in their way of dealing with difficulties in the present.

I believe that a healthy outlook comes from having a good grasp of your ABC's... Accept, Balance, Cope. People often say things like, "I need to let it go," or "I need to forgive ...," etc. But we rarely talk about what it means to do that. Those phrases mean accepting that life is what it is-a balance of both good and bad-and making a choice to focus on the things we CAN change. Then "it" can stop directing our lives-we cope. Whether you need to let go of anger, fear, or sadness, I can help!

I work with adults on an individual basis and consider working with clients to be a journey, where I can support and encourage. I believe therapy must be a collaborative process to work well. I look forward to being part of your journey in life. I also offer mindset coaching for athletes and exercisers with a focus on TG/GD and cis-female athletes. Please check out my website for more information on mental coaching.

Counseling for self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, depression, and life stressors. I support clients wanting to change persistent feelings of not being good enough, heal from their past, and build more connection, joy, and fulfillment in life. Many of my clients want to understand patterns they feel stuck in, build a secure relationship with self and others, relate to their thoughts differently, regulate and sit with emotions, express their needs, and slow down a restless mind and body. Clients that have been most successful with me tend to be goal-oriented and are accepting of their role in their personal growth.
