I am committed to helping individuals gain a better sense of self by offering a client-centered, integrated approach to treat a variety of mental health needs.

With empathy and understanding, we can explore life struggles, anxiety, depression, past hurt, future goals, and more. I hold a safe space for you to process anything that life throws your way. My experience working with youth in various settings of teaching, counseling, and telehealth, has given me an understanding that Gen Z has their own set of challenges to navigate, different from other generations.

I didn't grow up with therapy in my life. My parents divorced and remarried other partners when I was quite young, and that led to a very large, very blended family full of financial disparity and cultural differences. I didn’t venture into therapy until experiencing depression after the birth of one of my children. I then learned about intergenerational trauma and what damage it can do. I have immediate family who identify as Neurodiverse, Queer and Trans, and have chronic illness and autoimmune disorders and am fully aware of the challenges they face.

We all need support throughout our lives, and you may be looking for an additional resource to help you process lived experiences, problem-solve, or understand yourself in a deeper way. You may be struggling with anxiety, the challenges of caregiving, work stress and burnout, relationship challenges, or working through grief, loss, or bereavement. You want to engage in healthy coping skills and develop self-care habits to better support the vision you have for your life.

She completed a bachelor's degree in education from Caribbean University, a master's degree in English for speakers of other languages from Turabo University, a master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and a doctorate degree in education from Edgewood College.

I believe trust and belonging are the basic needs of individuals. How one learns to love and be loved tells a lot about who we are as people and how our relationships develop. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families, thereby hoping to provide change to the system, and not just the individual.

I have over 10 years of experience providing counseling to those struggling with substance abuse and dependency. I am here to help identify internal and external struggles that hinder a person from being successful in dealing with addictions and the stigma that comes along with it. I offer education around the brain and its functions when dealing with addiction and the behaviors that lead to negative consequences. My goal is to help build skills that develop effective coping strategies along with behavior modification. I am knowledgeable about the resources in the community to help with wrap around services.

Hey Gen Z do you feel misunderstood, worried all the time, or hopeless and like nothing is ever going to get better? Or maybe you need help navigating through challenging situations, relationships, other life stressors, or even just learning some new skills? I would love to help you on your journey to a more wholesome you. I have experience working with ages 6-24 who struggle with their mental health or struggle with behavioral issues. Also please note that I conduct ADHD evaluations for youth ages 6-24 if you need that support as well!

I believe that everyone has the potential within themselves for change, growth, and empowerment. With particular interests in stress management, habit improvement, mindfulness, and symptom reduction, our work together will help you confront and address aspects of life that may be barriers to you.

Aubrey doesn’t see diagnosis as a limiting factor in life. We are whole beings, looking for support and connection, even if we feel broken at times, we can turn your broken pieces into a beautiful mosaic. We will use a short-term, or long-term approach, focusing on getting you out of therapy or reducing your time in therapy significantly! We will work on a quarterly basis contract (four-months) that we can renew if progress is being made!

Healing is available to you. Deep down, we all have the power to heal. Starting therapy takes courage, and it's not always easy to stick with it. But the changes it can bring to your life are huge. In our work together I strive to invite you to discover things about yourself you never knew, find parts of yourself you thought were lost, and learn how to bounce back stronger when life gets tough.
