HI my name is Sage. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family therapist and do alternative therapies. I am an in depth therapist who works with the mind, emotions, body, and spirit.. My training goes back 30 years. Plus 30 years of studying Process Oriented Psychology and certified in Second Training Process Work. I have taught internationally for over 15 years in many countries. As an alternative therapist I work with healing ancestral and past life trauma that are encoded in your DNA and soul fragment healing from trauma.

I work with individuals, couples and families of all different ages and backgrounds. As a depth oriented and relational therapist, I use inner work, self-awareness techniques, parts work (IFS), dreamwork, relationship work, art, conflict resolution and communication techniques. My work helps individuals heal personal and intergenerational trauma, and find a greater sense of wholeness through the integration of the mind, body, and spirit. I am a good listener and follow closely the unfolding process of my clients. My work is deeply inspired by nature and helps clients seek insight from the balance of elements in the natural world.

I will have one opening coming up later this summer for a child 7 or younger. I see children 7 and under who are having behavioral or emotional issues at school or home or just need some extra support. I use a very interactive approach to help my clients appreciate their strengths and then work with both the child and parent in a collaborative way to develop successful strategies. Therapy sessions can include play therapy in my large therapy room, learning new coping skills and spending time with my therapy dog, Sally. Parents are given the opportunity to learn new parenting skills to help their child's progress.

I believe counseling is a collaborative process, and starts in the first session as we work together to understand your concerns. I am committed to providing a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe space to help you uncover the things that are getting in the way of your happiness and well-being. My style is a balance of warm, empathic listening and respectful challenging to promote your insight and personal growth. While I will help you understand the nature and origins of your concerns, I will also help you see and use your strengths and talents toward creating the life you want.

Mindful, gentle, supportive, intuitive. Through mindfulness attention and somaticwareness, that which was previously "in the way" becomes our doorway to healing, clarity, peace, joy, and the ability to realize our personal and life goals.

I work with clients to focus on what has worked in the past and emphasize the strengths and unique qualities they possess. I strive to help build skills that clients can use to lower stress, anxiety, depression, and self-loathing. I have counseled adults of all ages, teens and preteens, disabled teens, adults, and vets, and families and couples going through difficult life cycle transitions.

If you are experiencing the effects of stress, trauma, abuse, shame, or grief it can feel as if things will never change. My goal is to develop a connection with you through which you can learn to develop trust, insight and a deeper understanding of yourself. This means we work as a creative team; at times I will support your innate intelligence to identify and create solutions and at other times I may use what you have shared with me and my own intuition to offer advice, share observations and make suggestions.

I believe the power of change is inherent in each individual, but sometimes in need of a little guidance. I can help with setting, meeting, and achieving your goals. My approach in therapy is to provide a client centered approach to support the individual to achieve their goals through a strength-based, solution focused approach, utilizing an attachment lens. We each have a unique upbringing and are influenced by our past. I have been working in the social work field for over 10 years.

I provide individual and family therapy to residents of Lane County, assisting clients with trauma, anxiety, family distress, substance abuse & addiction/recovery issues, life transition difficulties, and other life challenges. I utilize both time-honored and cutting edge therapeutic methods, realizing that therapy must be tailored to each unique individual or family to be effective. Coming from a systems background, I view problems as being embedded within the context of family, community, employment, educational, legal and other systems - affecting and being influenced by each of these.
