Not accepting new clients. Hello! I'm Karen Haag, and Wholehearted Counseling is my completely virtual private practice. I specialize in working with women with trauma, particularly childhood abuse, sexual abuse, incest, and emotional abuse. Together, we explore the impact of past experiences on the brain, body, and mind. We work to identify the negative self-scripts and worldviews that are the result of trauma, and to replace these with more realistic, adaptive, and compassionate internal and external responses. My style of therapy is warm and down to earth, and my primary goal is to create a genuine human-to-human relationship.

I specialize in helping people overcome issues with depression, anxiety, worry, negativity, and/or addictions. Often genetics, childhood and adult trauma, stressful relationships, insomnia, diet, and general self-care can be contributing factors. Talking with a licensed psychologist can help you with such dilemmas and gain a new perspective on life. My goal is to help explore new ways to handle such roadblocks and to live a full and enjoyable life.

By now you’ve probably figured out that running away from the pain doesn’t work. The first step in healing is to accept what happened to you. Acceptance is not approval. Not Accepting New Clients- I provide individual and family therapy to adults, adolescents, and children, including children ages five and under. I can assist with anxiety, depression, adjustment to change, oppositional behavior, family conflict, attachment, inattention, trauma, and other concerns.
