Therapy provides a safe space for clients to develop skills needed to lead better lives. I follow an eclectic approach to therapy. I tend to use a mix of person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems. I help clients explore their feelings in an environment filled with empathy, respect and nonjudgment. However, I also challenge clients to recognize and identify negative thought patterns that make life more problematic. We work together to change thought patterns and create new, productive coping strategies that ignite positive life transformation.
have worked in counseling and social services for many years in various settings such as schools, counseling agencies, telehealth and nonprofits. My scope of work ranges from working with young children struggling with developmental or learning problems to clients in late adulthood coping with aging and retirement.
We are all unique and come from different backgrounds, carrying our personal family history. In therapy it’s important to recognize how our past as well as family dynamics can contribute to our current situations. Education and learning are power.
