Omar has two years of experience providing counseling at an OASAS outpatient clinic working with clients struggling with co-occurring disorders such as addiction, depression, adjustment disorder, anxiety ,and PTSD. Furthermore, Omar has three years of relevant experience working with students as a substitute teacher and four years working with adult in-patient clients at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center.
Omar utilizes CBT, Mindfulness Practice, and Narrative Therapy to treat clients. He creates a comfortable environment by utilizing reflective listening skills and develops a therapeutic relationship with clients that promotes good mental health and wellness.
His main goals in treating his clients are to provide tools that will help them reach their goals.
