My potential clients would be dealing with anxiety and/or depression caused by work stress, family issues, or difficult life transitions. They may potentially be dealing with trauma related to experiences they had while growing up, or recent incidences that have happened in their lives. Their goals are to process their experiences, and to develop positive coping skills that can help them to manage the emotions that come with the difficulties in their lives. They may also want to help grow positive relationships with friends or family members that can be positive supports for them.
I would assist clients in meeting their goals by providing compassionate, empathetic, and interpersonal therapy. I would work to help clients feel comfortable and heard. They would have a space to open up that is non-judgmental, and we would work together to identify coping skills and supports in their life that would be helpful to them.
I am very excited to begin working with individuals who need extra support in their lives. My goal has always been to support those who may struggle to find supportive environments, and who may not always feel they are heard or seen by others.
