It also fits my varied interests professionally in many diverse aspects of practice and treatment.

Hello and welcome! I'm Cathy, I have a deep commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, those healing from religious trauma, and adolescents on their transformative journeys. A large percentage of my clients are neurodivergent and I am neurodivergent myself. My passion lies in creating empowering and inclusive therapeutic spaces where individuals can embrace their authentic selves and find healing and growth. I also have experience working with trans individuals, late diagnosed autistic individuals, ADHD, AuDHD, other LGBTQ+ individuals, and helping partners and parents of the above listed individuals.

Life is a journey, not a destination. I am here to help people along their path, whatever that may bring. I serve teens, adults, families and couples. I come form a multi- cultural and diverse background that helps me work with all populations while always taking into account the uniqueness of each of us. I help clients struggling with anxiety, depression, autism, anger, OCD, trauma, ADHD, personality disorders, difficult life transitions, low self-esteem, work place stress, and/or relationship difficulties.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Registered Play Therapist, Brittney serves infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents, and their families through a strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-centered approach to address the challenges that come with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence (ADHD, gifted, Autistic), loss of a loved one, trauma, foster care, adoption, divorce, changes in school, and other life changes.

I have experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I utilize a multifaceted approach to help my clients succeed. All of my therapy is individualized to you and your needs. I enjoy helping couples with relationship issues and sexual problems as well as helping individuals with issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and sexual addictions. I am trained in emotionally focused therapy (EFT), the Gottman method, and the use of EMDR and hypnotherapy, as well as various counseling techniques, such as CBT. I believe the most important component of therapy is the relationship I build with my clients.

I have been teaching and supervising graduate and postgraduate professionals, as well as maintaining an active full time professional practice. I am married, have 5 grown children and 7 grand children. Christian Family Institute serves all persons, but specializes in being sensitive to faith issues, combining those resources with the best science from the mental health disciplines.

Eagle Mountain Counseling & Testing Center, (EMCTC) LLC provides Christian Counseling Services, rooted in Biblical Truth and ethics for individuals and families who want to grow; who feel stuck; who can't seem to "just let things go"; whose thinking and behaviors are still deeply affected by grief and trauma; and those who have tried unsuccessfully to let time heal their wounds. Battling with mental health issues can leave you feeling drained and unsure where to turn. I work with children and adults that struggle with depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, ADHD, and interpersonal issues providing encouragement and assist clients in the change of their cognitive perspectives. I encourage them in art/play and/or activities that foster positive coping skills. I work with children ages five and up and with adults with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or Intellectual Disability. I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.

I have over 24 years experience working with children, teens and adults. More than ever, the stress on today's youth is tremendous. Bullying, ADHD, Trauma, Abuse, Depression and Social Anxiety, can play a huge role in the day to day stress in our children.
