I graduated from John Brown University with a Masters in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy & Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works from an attachment perspective with experience working with adults and adolescents. I specialize in assisting teens, adults, and families affected by depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, attachment issues, personality and intellectual disorders, and trauma.

Hi, My name is Haley Harmer and I am a licensed professional therapist. I have been doing therapy for about 10 years now working as a therapist primarily with children, youth and families but I definitely love working with all individuals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, boundaries, relationship issues, family dynamics and parenting problems to name a few. My education and experience has caused me to have a well-rounded background in several areas of concern when it comes to the mental health of individuals and counseling.

I work with children, adolescents, young female adults whom are in distress, confused and need help with coping skills. I assist with helping them understand what happened, who they are and where they are going. Talking with someone other than family helps. It helps to not feel judged and feel accepted. We all have a place where we belong.

My primary clients are individuals between 2 - 21 years (Adults on a case-by-case basis). I work with children and their families to provide more information about current presenting social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns through a thorough assessment (i.e., 5+ hours of direct assessment) and/or through counseling. In counseling, I alone cannot change the person once per week or every other week; parents are key to successful treatment by implementing appropriate strategies, support, and structure needed for improvement (i.e., there is work for the adults too!).
