I have 28 years in the Deaf Education classroom as a teacher and have changed over to being a nationally certified counselor of the Deaf/HOH and their families. I am working towards my licensing in Oklahoma with Joy Oliver LPCS. She is my supervisor. I counsel Tuesdays through Friday using Sign Language and a Client Centered Therapeutic approach. My approach to therapy involves focusing on the family unit, meeting each individual family member where they’re at while treating them as an important part of the therapeutic process. I do this by treating each family member equally and with compassion. I often get calls from parents asking me to help their child and my response is always the same… “Let's work together to help your kiddo.” Studies show that when parents are involved, kids recover from trauma significantly faster.

Collyn Campbell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oklahoma who has been practicing since 2002. She graduated with a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Oklahoma after receiving a BSW from OU. Collyn's work history includes working with juveniles in detention facilities, forensic interviewing, child and family services, private practice, and adult mental health and substance abuse hospitalization. She has worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting since 2011. Collyn is EMDR trained and has specialized in trauma for many years from forensics to first responders.
