My name is Liz Weingart and I have been working with adults, children, and families for over 25 years. I began my career as a home-based family therapist working to keep at risk children in their homes. This position allowed me the opportunity to work with children with a wide range of diagnoses, such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Depressive Disorders, various Anxiety Disorders, and Aspergers Disorder. While working with adolescents and young adults, I have provided treatment for suicidal ideation, self-mutilating behaviors, and eating disorders.

I have 28 years in the Deaf Education classroom as a teacher and have changed over to being a nationally certified counselor of the Deaf/HOH and their families. I am working towards my licensing in Oklahoma with Joy Oliver LPCS. She is my supervisor. I counsel Tuesdays through Friday using Sign Language and a Client Centered Therapeutic approach. I am comfortable in working with all age groups. I am a contract employee of Beacon Pointe and I can accept Medicaid clients.

Since 2008, I've worked in both non-profit community mental health and very much for-profit private practice, which means I've gotten to work with all kinds of clients from different backgrounds and age groups to help address a remarkably broad spectrum of problems and concerns. Most of my work has been, and will continue to be, with young people- and while I've certainly loved every other minute of that, I am always eager (and occasionally desperate) to talk to another adult. My goal is for my clients to feel as comfortable and understood as possible, as soon as possible. From there, we can get to work.

FSC Kids is dedicated to providing quality play-based therapy and mental health services to help kids, adolescents, and families more effectively navigate the complexities and challenges of life. We have adequately equipped our therapists with the proper space and tools essential to meeting the goals established by each individual client. One unique aspect of our facility is our fully functional play therapy and sandtray rooms. These rooms will be utilized at therapists’ discretion based on the treatment plan of the child, teen, and/or family.
