I began pursuing a career path in counseling in 2013 when I began my undergraduate journey at Southwestern Christian University, getting a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences. I then moved forward to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mid-America Christian University. I then became a candidate for licensure with the State Board of Behavioral Health in Oklahoma in 2022. Additionally, I serve alongside my husband, Sam, who is the student pastor at Family Church in Yukon, and I am most passionate about sharing hope with teens and young adults.

Sometimes life gets tough and we don't know what to do. We feel as if we've done all that we can and nothing has worked or we don't know the proper steps to take to help ourselves. Well, I am here to help! My role is to help you learn tools to those difficult times and figure out what you need and how to achieve your goals. You come as the expert on your life, and I come with the knowledge and resources to help. We will work together to meet the goals you set for yourself.

I'm really passionate about helping people understand how their past is influencing their life currently and helping them develop insight to make changes for a more fulfilling life. I have specialized trauma training to help clients resolve not only the "big T" traumas but also the "little t stuff"... the chronic smaller traumas that shape and mold us too. I get that not everyone wants to dig up the past and also offer counseling for those who want to work through current issues and learn new skills and coping mechanisms.

You and I will work together as a team to help you achieve your goals to decrease stress and increase coping skills from struggling with emotional and behavioral issues, personality disorders, sexuality, domestic violence, women’s issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, family trauma, and dysfunction. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) to help you through your trauma to feel relief from the stress of the issues you most desire and deserve to feel free from.

You already have everything you need to make the changes you desire. Sometimes that inner wisdom and strength gets overshadowed by the "stuff of life". My role is not to tell you how to live or how to change. My role is simply to help you rediscover the path you've been looking for. I offer several options including, 30 or 60 minute sessions, office based or online. I also offer a fourth option: Walk and Talk therapy is a great way to get back in touch with nature while nurturing your mind and body.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be a great starting point for healing past and current hurts in one’s life. I view therapy as a tool to help an individual identify barriers and strengths that can assist in the healing process. Through open feedback and transparency in this type of relationship, I work with each client to get a better understanding of their personal experience in order to craft a unique therapeutic environment in which they can work best.

I offer a safe environment for you to reach all your dreams and be all you can be. Here you will find the changes you want to make. As a certified hypnotherapist, I offer hypnosis to guide you to manage pain, anxiety, stress, depression, test anxiety, anger management, weight loss, test anxiety, sports performance, academic improvement, phobias, fears, career performance, pre-surgical, or something else. , I do this without chemicals and medications. I also offer telemedicine in case you cannot come to the office. Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon that occurs daily and with guidance, you make lasting change.

It is my job to give you the tools to make these changes, but the client is the one who ultimately implements the tools given to them.
