As a licensed professional counselor and school psychologist working with children ages seven and up, adolescents, and those transitioning into young adulthood, I am passionate about creating a safe space in counseling for people to be the truest versions of themselves. I view the counseling relationship as being inherently collaborative, empowering, and supportive, fueled by trust and hope. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach, as well as play therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral techniques in my counseling work.

My psychotherapy practice offers a safe, welcoming environment to actively work on your health and well-being. We will collaboratively establish our goals in therapy, and pace our sessions to match your needs. I offer both psychotherapy and psychoeducational assessment services. Psychotherapy sessions focus on growth-oriented issues even when addressing adjustment and mental health concerns. Assessment services are geared toward answering specific referral questions, usually to do with academic aptitude and school/college accommodations.

Don earned his BS in Education from Bowling Green State University and his MA in Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. He specializes in working with military Veterans and first responders. As a Veteran himself, he is uniquely qualified to help this population through cognitive behavioral approaches and motivational interviewing.

Juliane has a master’s degree from University of Kentucky and is a supervising licensed independent social worker with 25 years of experience. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples ranging from age 5 to 99 in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health and adolescent detention centers. Most recently Juliane has worked with people coping with major illness (particularly cancer).

I have been an active member of my community for most of my life. I began caring for others at age 15 by working as a nursing assistant in a local nursing home. I have volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician and was a foster parent for nearly 100 children over a 13 year time span. I am passionate about helping people of all ages reach their personal or professional goals.
