If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, adjustment problems, low self-esteem, grief/loss, dysfunctional family dynamics, or you are a parent with a child with difficult/problem behaviors, please reach out and request an appointment with me by calling or texting 614-547-9233.
If you don't feel comfortable in traditional talk therapy, you may have a different learning style that deserves respect. There are four main learning styles: visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinesthetic, which requires physical interaction with the environment. If you are a visual person or need more engagement, then art therapy may be the best fit for you. Art Therapy is a method of self-expression that creates a safe and nonjudgmental space. The focus is on the process of creating and the meaning you bring to your art. No artistic talent is required. I offer telehealth (virtual) services to children, adolescents and adults.

I love to help couples who are in distress and need an outside perspective to help them understand why they are getting stuck where they do and assist them in making the changes they need to in order to feel safely connected. I also enjoy helping couples who already have many strengths but want to improve their relationship further. There are few professional relationships where trust, a commitment to openness, and creating a safe environment are more important than in the client/therapist dynamic. Finding the right therapist can be a difficult but essential feature in creating personal growth and fulfillment. It is my passionate belief that this working relationship between client and therapist is the foundation of successful treatment. I have over sixteen years of experience working with a broad and varied range of individuals struggling with a myriad of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, isolation, sexuality, gender identity, and relationship issues.

I work with individuals, families, and couples facing a wide range of difficulties, including: life transitions, relationship conflicts, stress, anxiety, depression, and grief.
I am a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. I integrate multiple perspectives into your treatment so that I can tailor your experience to your specific needs and help you reach your goals. I believe therapy is a process that begins by establishing a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative treatment relationship. From here, we can gain an understanding of the factors (both past and present) which contribute to the current difficulties/obstacles in your life. We will then explore options for your growth and development.

My main specialty areas are relationship issues, self esteem issues and veterans issues.
By creating a safe environment in which to explore emotions and inner patterns, we identify roadblocks which are interfering with the goals that the individual or family want to achieve. We use our meetings to gain understanding, create new ideas and support putting changes into practice.

Is your job bringing you more sorrow than joy? If you answered yes to any of these questions you may benefit from the insight of a therapist. As a mental health therapist for the past 25 years I take pride in joining with my clients to sort through whatever issues are challenging to them in a warm, nurturing environment. Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
