I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
I have wanted to work as a therapist with children since I was 13 years old. Even after working as a licensed therapist for over 7 years, this passion has remained. I've worked with many children dealing with issues related to anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and difficulties at home, school, and with peers. My hope is that if I can help a child work through these issues while they're still young, they can take these tools with them and maybe life won't have to be so hard as they get older.

Know that in addition to my understanding of ADHD, I value connection and being a real human being.
I specialize in ADHD testing and treatment of Adult ADHD. If you’re like many adults with ADHD, you might identify as an overthinker with a quick mind and strong feelings. And it seems like no matter how hard you try, you feel like people think you’re “scattered,” “too sensitive,” or even a little…“lost.” It feels like everyone else has it all figured out, and you’re left behind––beating yourself up for every little thing you do. You just want to live life without “analysis paralysis,” get organized, recover faster from emotional tailspins, and tackle your inner critic...for good.

Accurate diagnosis can be challenging, especially when distinguishing symptoms between conditions such as anxiety and ADHD, sensory issues and autism, or even oppositional defiance and giftedness.
Are you a neurodivergent person seeking to understand yourself better? I specialize in evaluating and diagnosing Level 1 Autism (previously Asperger's) and ADHD, particularly in girls and women aged 12 and up, including those who mask their challenges. I also work with highly gifted individuals facing the unique "gifted struggles" that come with high cognitive abilities. Many of my clients are on a journey to gain insight and validation for their internal experiences, often rooted in their childhood and educational experiences. I am here to support your path toward self-discovery through assessment and therapy.

I’m here to tell you that you can learn to manage ADHD, anxiety, and overwhelm.
Is it getting harder and harder to pretend everything is “fine”? The anxiety, worry, and dread keep piling on, and it feels like the pressure of all your responsibilities might just crush you. Despite the things you’ve achieved personally and professionally, you’ve never felt “good” enough, and you worry you’ve somehow managed to fool everyone around you. Maybe something has changed recently at work or at home, or maybe something from your past continues to come up, despite your best efforts to leave it behind. All you know for sure is that you’re exhausted, and you can’t keep living like this.

I work with adults whose relationships are impacted by mental health challenges, parenting stress, imbalanced division of household tasks, past trauma, infidelity, minority stress, differences in neurotype (autistic, ADHD), and/or differences in intimacy needs.
It can be draining to find yourself once again caught up in the fast-paced, emotionally heated back and forth of, “I’m always asking for X! You never do it!” and “Well, you don’t understand Y! You never listen to me!” And it can feel lonely as the distance between you sets in again. As a couple therapist, I help clients move from feeling defeated by the deepening divides in their relationships to re-imagining what being a team means to them.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
