Sex therapy: for women & couples looking to increase desire, pleasure, & intimacy; resolve shame from purity culture; & conquer anorgasmia, vaginismus, or pelvic pain.
You’re insightful, high-achieving, and place value on your health, relationships, & personal growth. Things are good, but you know they can be better. You've been in therapy before & come as far as you can "just talking about it." You’re ready to dig deeper & experience profound change. I work with clients to treat underlying causes of anxiety, low self esteem, trauma and PTSD, sexual dysfunction, & relationship concerns. I love facilitating this process with Intensive EMDR therapy. My clients are ready for change & don't want to spend years in therapy to get it. Most of my clients reach their goals in just 3-12 Intensive sessions.

The easiest way to schedule is through my website and the best contact is email. Change, although inevitable, can be difficult and feel ruthless especially when life takes a turn you don't expect. We can start feeling lost, alone and out of touch with ourselves and those around us. Each of us are vulnerable to the pain, grief and the uncertainty of the human condition. In this way, I believe we can each benefit from a safe and non-judgmental space that allows us to put our guard down and encourages us to learn, be flexible and rest more fully into the natural process of simply being ourselves and listening to our own wounds.

I specialize in the hard stuff: • Chronic pain and illness • Significant life transitions • Grief and loss • Lingering effects of trauma • Spiritual doubts • Identity and purpose.
GOING THROUGH A HARD TIME? Much like sedimentary rock forms over time, our early experiences are deposited within us layer upon layer, shaping who we are today. But even once rock is formed, it doesn’t ever stay the same. There are natural forces that are RE-forming it continually. And the same is true for us. So when we’re not aware a formational process is taking place, the events of our lives can sometimes be confusing, uncomfortable, or even downright painful. REformation Coaching helps you embrace naturally occurring experiences and engage with them in a way that allows YOU to determine how they ultimately reshape your life.

August of 2024 is the one-year anniversary of opening MiNDSET Integrated Ketamine Care. Hundreds of infusions later, we have seen how ketamine works biologically, psychotherapy works behaviorally, and the combo of the two leads to exponential change. We KNOW this is a new and emerging modality, so please feel free to reach out and schedule a call to ask your questions, share your concerns. The "traditional" practices I founded in 2014 are also remaining open! Both of these businesses focus on healing, integration, growth and teaching people the life changing skill of psychological flexibility.

Every interaction in our lives creates our story. These stories can come from family experiences, media, marginalization, oppression, trauma, and much more. Over time, a collection of these may cause us to fall into depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, out of control sexual behavior, or other mental health issues. In therapy, my goal is to provide a warm, genuine, and collaborative environment to understand the development of these stories and how we can change them.

Navigating the landscape of depression is challenging, as it manifests uniquely in each person. However, some common indicators can help identify this mental health disorder. Are you or someone you know grappling with a pervasive sense of sadness, a void, or feeling of hopelessness? Are you noticing diminished energy, excessive fatigue, or struggles with concentration and decision-making? Sleep patterns may also shift, ranging from insomnia to oversleeping. Changes in appetite or weight, a deep-seated sense of guilt or worthlessness, and recurring thoughts about death or suicide are also key signs.

My background includes working with clients on a broad spectrum of therapeutic goals — including anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, anger management and more. My counseling philosophy is based on the understanding that no matter what we have experienced, there is an aspect of us all that is whole and complete just as it is. By continually orienting to this ground of wholeness, I believe we can fundamentally alter our relationship to our problems — shifting them from something that defines us to something that simply needs to be met, understood, and resolved.

Chronic Pain Therapists
How does chronic pain therapy work?
Engaging with a psychotherapist to help treat chronic pain does not mean that one’s pain is all in their head. Therapy for chronic-pain patients has been shown to benefit both the mind and the body, targeting physical symptoms and increasing daily functioning. In other words, for many, addressing their emotional health through therapy affects their physical health. A therapist can help a client challenge unhelpful thoughts about pain and develop new ways to respond to it, such as distraction or calming breathing techniques. Studies have found that therapy can be as effective as surgery for certain cases of chronic pain and many doctors recommend trying psychotherapy in advance of considering invasive surgery.
What are the most effective treatment options for chronic pain?
Stress, anxiety, depression, catastrophizing, ruminating, lack of activity, and social withdrawal all make chronic pain worse. Addressing these issues, research shows, can help people gain control over their pain symptoms. Therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and mindfulness-based stress reduction, along with greater pain-management education, have been found to help people reduce fear and disability.
Are there new treatments for chronic pain?
Many cases of chronic pain, particularly those involving back pain, remain medically unexplained. But there is evidence that changes in the brain or nervous system are caused by previous physical ailments such as tissue damage; in such cases, the brain may continue to send out pain signals despite the physical cause having healed. To aid patients under these circumstances, a recently developed treatment known as pain reprocessing therapy (PRT) is designed to help the brain “unlearn” this response. A PRT practitioner helps individuals to reduce the “threat value” of their ongoing pain signals until they can reappraise them as less threatening and fear-inducing. They also help an individual to develop new emotional regulation skills.
How long does therapy for chronic pain take?
There is no set timeline for recovery from chronic pain, especially as there may be a range of physical and psychological causes for any individual’s discomfort, but most patients should expect to see a therapist for a number of weeks or months, typically spanning at least 12 sessions. Studies of pain reprocessing therapy found that many individuals’ experience of pain lessened in eight sessions over four weeks.
